Yay! Welcome back! I’m always excited for this story, so I’m really glad it’s still on your thoughts and efforts. And I can relate to self pressure. I’ve got a couple of stories I should be working on and haven’t for pretty much exactly the reasons you’ve listed.

But on to the chapter! Hammerfell seems like they’re leaning towards joining Ulfric, which I guess isn’t much of a surprise since they hate the Thalmor, too. Still, very intriguing! I’m looking forwards to more about this diplomat warrior. And what could have happened to kill 87 warriors?! The Markarth incident is one of those Elder Scrolls things that have a bunch of conflicting information depending on who you talk to, so I’m looking forwards to hearing your take on it. And no worries, you won’t get any bad mouthing from me for how you tell it.

Keep it up, and as always, I’m ready for more!

And it seems you have a direction for the rest of the ambassador's little tale. Not sure how it relates to the present conflict (the snow keeping the Stormcloaks from just marching up to Solitude has almost melted, if I recall correctly), but I'm sure he has a point somewhere in the next chapter.

So please make sure that next chapter exists someday!

Reinforcements are good. The true sons of Skyrim can stand more securely in the knowledge that they do not stand alone. While the Stormcloaks can almost certainly win the immediate civil war on their own, it'll take more than Skyrim to dismantle the overarching threat of the Aldmeri Dominion. Maybe Eliana can recruit some dragons.

This is my first time reading a skyrim fanfic and I feel so weird . I mean, I play skyrim all the time and the characters aren't exactly interesting. And I hate Ulfric, he's a racist idiot. But your story sounds interesting, looking forwards to reading it! #ProImperial.

I hate to pint this out but you’ve got your order of events mixed up. The Dragonborn leaves Windhelm with Ulfric’s War Axe, not Balgruuf’s. Ulfric sent the war axe as a proposal for alliance and Balgruuf refused. Also I’d interested in your reasons for siding with the Stormcloaks. I like your story overall but I kind of wish there was a little more character development considering her interaction with Ulfric prior to the joining the Rebellion. I personally find it hard to believe that she’s in love with him after only meeting him a couple of times before Sovangarde.

Is she to be friends with the brotherhood, i wonder. That would be grand

This was an interesting read! Even though it was short and more like an intro to the following events it was wonderfully written as always! And remembered me again that I hated Elenwen right from the first moment I met her in the game xD

Anyway, now I'm very much looking forward to the next chapter :)

Speaking of "inevitable", you spelled it as "unevitable" in this chapter: an easy typo to make by hitting an adjacent key.
