It took me a couple days to get through this and by god its amazing! I really hope that this isn't The End. Id love to read what happens with Shepard betrayal. Roach's and Ghosts death. Soap dying and finally Makarov. Goodness there's so much angst to be had and I wanna read it all. Thank you so much for writing this story!

Anyway, I checked back on this account after several years because this Coronavirus quarantine had me nostalgic and I saw you had been updating this! Amazing! That's some serious dedication for sure!

It was like a blast from the past. I reread the entire series in one day and I'm super excited for more.

I had a question though... How do you like the new Ghost in Season 2 and 3 of the Modern Warfare reboot? He's bulkier, his voice is more gravely, and he's got tattoos! I like the changes, personally. Well, I'm not the biggest fan of his new mask. I prefer the old one.

Huh, so this is the fate of Bones? I can't say it wasn't dramatic, but I was expecting her to join the survivors to the endgame, not get put out of commission right before the game was about to end. That last line in the previous chapter made me wince. Even after fulfilling her obligations, her job is going to cost pieces of her soul, isn't it?

Good action sequence, which I find always difficult because we want to make it believable but not get bogged down with details. Nice flow and move forward in the story line, plus we can see that our boys haven't lost their touch with one another.

Your note at the bottom had me feeling the reason for such amazing dialog is because it draws from the heart, from real life experiences. It's so human and brings even the crazy MW world into a light that most don't tread into. Life is sloppy and full of messy emotions. I nearly shot out of my seat when Soap saw the mark, I was like "HOLD ON!"

THE FEEELLLLSSSS DX Oh its so intense *fans self* how is this going to unfold, because there is a crap ton of emotional baggage that's going to explode in the open here.

Again, your dialog is spot on -intense, heartfelt, and so real. You can almost cut the tension in the air when you're reading it! Not gonna lie, I'm already tore for who I'm rooting for. I love the Lara/Ghost gritty dark relationship, I love the confused restrained jealousy of Mactavish -and I'd love to get inside of his head too about all of this!

The dialog between Roach and Ghosrtis great, such passionate exchanges between the characters. I can only imagine the roller coaster of emotion Lara is going through, but her conversation with Toad felt a little forced? It's never easy making a deep, meaningful and pivitol conversation between characters, trying to capture the range of emotions. I feel like this next office talk is going to creature a debacle!

I like the conflicting feeling Lara is experiencing - I think its a very human aspect that many people don't think about because most us never are in that position.

I like Ghost's line "I had my own orders." because it also reminds you that even though its easy to get caught up in the moment, you sign your rights and feelings away when you join a military force. There's always a higher power to answer too.

I feel like Roach had a lot of meaningful things to say, but now I feel like we'll never know DX Lara and Roach better make amends. And I seriously love the "sinister" darker side of Ghost, it feels so suiting, but really, we all know he's a complex ocean of emotions.

Oh this is just gold here. It's not just what we were wanting to have happen but the psychological warfare is fantastic!

I know this is a bit of an older fic, but I'm dying to know what is going through Riley's mind...
