Author has written 61 stories for Queer as Folk, Phantom of the Opera, Misc. Movies, Lord of the Rings, Simpsons, Titanic, South Park, Frasier, Brothers & Sisters, Shakespeare, Mad Men, Captain America, Cloud Atlas, Downton Abbey, and Avengers. I like/love: animals nature culture poetry music languages (especially endangered ones, like the Celtic languages: Irish, Manx, and Scottish Gaelic, Welsh, Cornish, and Breton ) my family gay-friendly people men Lord of the Rings (Sam/Frodo, Merry/Pippin Slash especially) Overall though, I live a fairly quiet, content life, writing poetry, often in Gaelic (Scottish Gaelic(Gàidhlig)) mainly, and I used to study Irish Gaelic(Gaeilge)), dealing with unrequited love, longing for love and/or life, life, music, the spiritual, sexuality, nature, depression, death, worrying about what lays ahead of me, and anything other that comes to mind. That isn't my whole story, although it might as well be. By the way, I'm just learning Gaelic, I'm not fluent in it, so cut me some slack, no flames, mas e ur toil e (if you please). Despite the lack of trust that I have for Christianity and for other (organized) religions, I am quite spiritual; Christian Andréason, a marvelous singer and interpreter of the divine helps me to retain my respect for religion (and he's openly gay!). My beliefs are very eclectic, though, with a substantial ammount of Buddhism. As a warning, many of my stories contain slash, so if you don't like slash, then why are you reading them? If you like it, then I commend your taste. I like Lord of the Rings slash... a LOT. Especially when those cute little Hobbits are involved! I adore Sam/Frodo and Merry/Pippin pairings! And Phantom of the Opera? I like! Raoul... just all right, but no romantic hero. I can't see why Christine picks him over the dark, long-suffering Erik... Erik: SEXY BEAST! ... and especially when he's paired up with Christian... not Christine, a young operatic soprano, but Christian, a young operatic TENOR. And Brothers & Sisters, how could I not like a show where two men in a loving, committed romance are portrayed as normal, successful people who are not governed by their sexual identities? Kevin and Scotty are my favorite couple on that show and Scotty and Rebecca (and Julia) are probably the only sane ones in the Walker family. I have a soft spot for soldiers in love with each other; Yossi & Jagger just breaks my heart, as does Steve Rogers/Bucky Barnes from Captain America and The Avengers series (with Chris Evans and Sebastian Stan, respectively). Sure, Steve/Captain America might have a crush on Peggy Carter, but I don't believe it; I can tell how much that Steve loves Bucky and I can't bear that poor Bucky's been tortured by Zola, then presumed dead, then brainwashed into the Winter Soldier... I want him and Steve to live happily ever after. And the boys on Downton Abbey, I adore William Mason and Tom Branson...! And Sybil, as cute and sweet as her husband and William...! |
