OMG. Cora broke my heart here...the poor lady. I'm sure you're not that far from what "really" happened to Cora at this time in the show. It was a lovely way ( but also a sad one) to take the journey with Cora. Thank you. x

Perfection - as always. Poor Cora but then that was the society she married into and she knew the score. Re. your note at the end - more about the wedding would be lovely, but please don't make Robert too much of an ogre. I am not a particular fan of his but I do try to be fair. He was actually quite an enlightened father for his time and he does love his daughters!

Perfection. Where do I even begin. Telling this from the perspective of their mothers was great and you did it perfectly. I kept saying yep yep that's right. I can see that. Especially when Cora was thinking if we had just let her. I always thought that if they had let Sybil go to school etc Tom & Sybil may never have happened because she wouldn't be there and would have been distracted.

And without actually saying it you gave us the reason why Sybil returned to Mrs Branson's home that night. This was a good ending point - I wasn't ready for it but it was a perfect place to end saying a mother's love is forever.

A bit disappointed in this chapter - thought you would cover more of the actual wedding.

This little series has been a wonderful read from start to finish. One can never have too many Sybil/Tom wedding stories and this one has been very imaginative and usual. Well done!

I'm always amazed at your story ideas - not all are the same old S/T meet/whatever/marry. I like that you branch out into other areas. This is a great idea - we never got any info on Tom's background or family - so I love that you've given us something.

Very well written and very moving but ... I've said this so often but I'll say it again. There was never a cat in hell's chance that Cora and Robert would go to Sybil's wedding. Sybil was an aristocrat - she knew that when she virtually eloped with Tom. This was early 20th century Britain for God sake and it just wouldn't be proper for Robert and Cora to turn up.

That made me feel good inside though sad that Tom father died. Love the backstory you created and how smart Tom was and how he came to know a lot about cars. This is a great idea - writing the mother's perspective.
