Oups? They forgot a scene of the season 4 Christmas Special!

99 INT DOWNTON ABBEY LIBRARY

The family is gathered together for tea. Cora and Isobel are sitting on the sofa. Robert is sitting at his desk, writing a letter. Sybil and George are playing on the floor. Tom is sitting on the floor too, helping George to "repair" a toy car he has broken.

TOM: There you are. Now you can drive.

George is smiling happily and starts to make car noises.

CORA: It's so good to be here again. (She leans down and takes Sybbie on her lap, who shows her her new doll)

CORA CONT: I missed you, my little ones!

ISOBEL: By the way, Tom. I saw Sarah Bunting in the village. She mentioned you've had dinner together.

TOM: Yes. I met her when I went to the pub one evening.

Robert looks up and gives Tom a questioning look. Tom nods.

CORA: Miss Bunting. Is that the young woman you introduced me to at the bazar?

TOM: Yes. She is the teacher at the village.

ISOBEL: She seems to be interesting. Very outspoken I must say.

TOM: I guess.

CORA: Oh, Do you like her?

TOM: Well. I don't dislike her.

CORA: We could invite her for dinner if you like...

TOM (interrupting her): No, really...

CORA: I'm interested in the school anyway. In a few years we must think about Sybbie's education.

TOM: I know. But no. I don't think it's a good idea to invite her here.

CORA: But why not? If you're seeing her?

TOM: I'm not seeing her!

ISOBEL: She certainly seems keen on you though.

TOM: Gee, I hope not. I like talking to her a bit. She has some interesting views. But no.

ISOBEL: What don't you like about her?

TOM (standing up): Nothing.

The women are still watching him expectantly. He notices it and sighs.

TOM CONT: She is not Sybil.

He leaves the room. Robert and Cora share a slightly sad smile.
