Hey! I'm TIA. [Yes, the acronym of my pen name. That is too much of a mouthful, but Tia makes me think of tinkling bells, soft moonlight and shared laughter - so call me this and we'll be kindred spirits right away! :D ]

A long-overdue update of excuses for not writing or reviewing :(

I moved halfway across the world last September, to start grad school. The good news? I'm in Canada! So some day, I'm going to wander over to the gabled house on the tiny island of this beautiful country where LMM told us of Anne living and spinning her dreams, and I can't wait for that day! The bad news? I'm in grad school. :/ I've struggled with a guilty conscience and unrealistic self-expectations of finishing my stories for all these months - but now, I've just decided to put it all off until I can really do justice to them. I will finish them (I want to know what happens as much as you do!), but please bear with my delays for some more time.

What I write about :

I love fanfics which remain true to the story (though I do like what-ifs, if they're in character and style). I basically try to write the same way, and my stories will be about filling the gaps left in my favourite books - not because they aren't perfect as they are, but 'coz I can't help wanting to read more of the same.

Porter, Ayn Rand, O.Henry, Alexandre Dumas, Baroness Emmuska Orczy, Agatha Christie, J.K Rowling, Meg Cabot, Rick Riordan, Eoin Colfer, Cameron Dokey and Salman Rushdie- but this list is still incomplete. :p Feel free to drop a PM if you're interested in plot discussions and character dissections of any of their books! :)

A new source of fan-worship that I got introduced to a year back(and which kept me away from writing for so long *guilty flush*) : Korean dramas. For the uninitiated : if you love rom-com, these will catch hold of your eyes, ears(even if you watch them with subtitles, like I did) and brain, and not let go. You have been warned. ;) If you're hooked to them too, drop me line - I'm sure we'll have plenty of fun discussing our favorite actors/stories!

Aside : I have another pen name on FFNet, for those stories that are based on YA fantasy. I just have two stories based on Twilight that're up; if you're interested, look up AiteIncarnate.

Stories in progress -

Foundation For Wedded Love : A story on how Edmund Bertram falls in love with Fanny Price in Jane Austen's Mansfield Park. It's in lieu with whatever we know through the story(mainly written because I feel like what Austen tells us about Edmund's love for Fanny is so insufficient,esp. after we read Fanny suffering throughout the book!) This story is featured on the Jane Austen Fan Fiction index. It's in progress.

Dear Heart : A story in epistolary form - letters between Anne and Gilbert set in Anne of Windy Poplars. It's complete as of now, but I may add in letters if inspiration strikes.

Past Summer's Prime : The idea of this fic was born because I was really very touched by Katherine's history, and wanted her to have a happier ending than what L.M.M left us with. Also, canadaroks requested a fic based on the quote "It is a curious thought, but it is only after you see people looking ridiculous that you realize how much you love them.", and eventually, a chapter in this story is going to be based on it. However, it's currently being updated very,very slowly, as I haven't read the Anne series in over a year, and am losing out on the style. I'll NOT discontinue it, but it'll take time.

Water Sprite:A Retelling of The Little Mermaid : Inspired by the stories written by Cameron Dokey in the Once Upon a Time series. It's in progress, and being updated very, very slowly - my Muse is very capricious. But the result should make for a good read worth the wait, so fingers crossed!
