My favorite romance in Little Women had to be Meg and John, followed by Jo and Professor Bhaer. How fitting for Jo to come and comfort Meg and force her to confront and cleanse her anger and grief, taking the sharpest, worst part of it and being there when Meg felt so alone. Jo would know how she felt because of Beth, and you've done such a great job showing their dynamic. A good, hopeful note at the end. I am truly moved.

Regardless of your belief in heaven and eventually being reunited with loved ones, death severs a connection, one you'll have to deal with until you die too. Really moving literary montage over all the things she's missing out on with her husband now and how him being gone affects her entire life. Good conclusion, she's by no means over it but...eventually.

Very well done! I was surprised by how much John's death was glossed over in the books. I knew he was going to die, and in what chapter it was going to happen, and went into fully expected to be moved to tears - and wasn't.
