Author has written 38 stories for Harry Potter, Wings, Aprilynne Pike, Tangled, Pride and Prejudice, Jane Eyre, Greek Mythology, Sense and Sensibility, North and South, and Doctor Who. In the words of Flannery O'Connor, "I am a writer becasue writing is the thing I do best." "If you do not breathe through writing, if you do not cry out in writing, or sing in writing, then don't write, because our culture has no use for it." - Anais Nin "Writing is thinking. It is more than living, for it is being conscious of living." -Anne Morrow Lindbergh About the Author Lady Greenbrier is the penname for a girl between the ages of thirteen and twenty who is currently residing somewhere in the United States of America - anywhere between California and Maine. She was formerly known as julieluvswriting on this site, but decided to change her penname. Her new nom-de-plume has special meaning, but only for her. She loves to write and to read, and is currently undergoing what may be called an unhealthy obsession with the classics. Jane Eyre, Pride and Prejudice, A Tale of Two Cities - you name it, she's probably read it. She also loves a popular British television show called Doctor Who. Her friends think this is show is very odd and that she is too, but she doesn't mind because she already knows she's weird. She is tall, probably has some sort of sensory processing disorder because she hates bright light, loud noises, and certain textures for food. Because of her aversion to sunlight, she is incredibly pale and has been jokingly referred to as a vampire - which she does not like, because her short Twilight obsession was years ago and now just embarrasses her when it is referenced. She is a sucker for a good romance, but it has to be clean. This may or may not be why she does not care for most modern romances, but it very likely is. She also loves Europe and really the world in general. She wants to travel and go see everything, but it isn't likely to happen soon. She's taking a European history class and loves it. She is now even more desperate to go to Europe and see all the sights, as well as Australia and other countries. She blames Doctor Who for exploiting the wanderlust she already felt and for making it even worse. Lastly, she thanks all her readers who have favorited her stories and reviewed them. She is either incredibly forgetful, lazy, or busy (or perhaps a combination of the three) and that is why she usually does not respond to reviews. Please know that she reads every single one and nearly bursts with happiness when she sees the message in her inbox telling her someone has reviewed her story. "The world is a looking glass, and it gives back to every man a reflection of his own face." "It is a truth universally acknowleged that a single man in possession of a large fortune must be in want of a wife." "In vain I have struggled. It will not do. My feelings will not be repressed. You must allow me to tell you how ardently I admire and love you." "It is impossible to live without failing at something, unless you live so cautiously that you might as well not have lived at all, in which case - you fail by default." "Badness is only spoiled greatness." "The trouble with trying to make yourself stupider than you really are is that you often succeed." "Challenges are what make life interesting. Overcoming them is what makes life meaningful." "Be the change you wish to see in the world." "Being happy doesn't mean that everything is perfect. It means you've decided to see beyond the imperfections." "The man who does not read good books has no advantage over the man who cannot read them." "The person, be it gentleman or lady, who has not pleasure in a good novel, must be intolerably stupid." |
