Oups? Now what happened here? Somehow I found a scene of episode 3.03 that obviously got deleted. Well that's a pity in my opinion! Comments are as usual really appreciated and be warned: The story... eh scene... is not edited and since I'm not a native speaker there might be huge mistakes in it.

Deleted scene Episode 3.03

29 INSIDE MRS HUGHES OFFICE MORNING

Mrs Hughes is writing something on her desk.

EMILY (formerly unknown housemaid): Might I have a word, Mrs Hughes?

MRS HUGHES: Of course, Emily. What can I do for your?

EMILY (unsure): Well, I don't know how to say it... It's about Mr. Branson and Lady Sybil. It's a bit embarrasing...

MRS HUGHES: Well?

EMILY: Yes, you know... I shall open the curtains for them in the morning and well... I might have walked in on... something... you know

MRS HUGHES: I understand Emily. But I can tell you that happens to every housemaid sooner or later once there's a freshly married couple in the house and Mr. Branson and Lady Sybil are only married for...

She's mentally counting

MRS HUGHES (Cont): ... a year. Well, that's not exactly freshly married, but you just mustn't think of it. Just leave unnoticed and as discretely as you can.

EMILY: But it happend three times already, Mrs Hughes!

MRS HUGHES: Three times? There're not even here for a week!

EMILY: It never happens with Mr. Matthew and Lady Mary. And they're only married two months!

MRS HUGHES: Well, Mr. Branson always was an early riser...

realizing what she just said, Mrs Hughes tries to cover it with a cough

MRS HUGHES (Cont): I think I'm going up with you and I'll show you how you can avoid that kind of situation, yes?

.

30 OUTSIDE THE DOOR TO THE BRANSONS' ROOM

MRS HUGHES (whispering): Look, Emily. Before you go in, you just lean a bit to the door and listen...

SYBIL (from inside the room): Oh... Tom!

TOM: Aye... hmmm

MRS HUGHES: Well... you see? We'lljust come back later.

.

31 OUTSIDE THE DOOR TO THE BRANSONS' ROOM 15 MINUTES LATER

MRS HUGHES: Now you try to listen? Do you hear something?

EMILY: No...

Both listen. Suddenly we hear Sybil giggling and Tom's lower voice laughing.

MRS HUGHES (sighing): Well, you see? I guess we just come back later.

.

32 OUTSIDE THE BRANSONS' ROOM ANOTHER 30 MINUTES LATER

EMILY: I think now... what do you think?

MRS HUGHES (listening intently): Yes, I think you're right...

TOM (inside the room): Sybil! Ahh... again? Well then...

MRS HUGHES (with a frown): Really! How do they think shall we get our work done? Well, Emily I think I must show you how to do it less tactfully.

She goes down the hall then returns. Her heels clapping loudly. She also coughs loudly a few times.

MRS HUGHES (shouting): Emily, did you open the curtains for Mr. Branson and Lady Sybil?!

She whispers to Emily

MRS HUGHES: answer as loud as you can.

EMILY (yelling): No, Mrs Hughes, shall I do it now?!

MRS HUGHES (still shouting): Yes, please! Be sure not to wake them!

.

33 INSIDE THE BRANSONS' ROOM

Emily stepping in, going to the window and opening the curtains. She glances quickly to the big doublebed where Tom and Sybil are obviously still fast asleep, both perfectly covered under the duvet.

Emily closes the door behind her. You can hear a little giggle coming from the bed.
