It's really good to see Ennis being more affectionate towards Jack, and taking on a protective role.
I don't think Bobby would hate Jack, especially when Lureen is so understanding "I'm sayin' that if Jack decides to leave me for you, I won't fight him." and since LD is dead, I doubt that any hatred towards his Dad should have diminished over time. There are way too many fanfic out there where Jack leaves his family while Ennis's daughters would remain in their lives. So unfair to Jack, as Ennis put it "It ain't fair for me to ask you to leave what I couldn't." Unfortunately, 9 out of 10 times, that's what happened.

I just recently read the story & watched the movie and I cried for, like 15 minutes afterwards. "Brokeback Mountain" is one of the stories that leave your heart broken and you can do nothing about it. However, your fanfic cheered me up and then made me cry again, this time more from the sheer beauty of this than from sorrow. You obviously have an ability to move reader. Thank you for sharing this story with the world, I loved it and I'm sure I'll come back to this as often as I feel the need to.

This was amazing. I loved this fic to no end. It was written beautifully. I'm in a state of shock as to how great this story turned out. I wasn't at any point bored at all. I wish seriously this would have happened in the movie instead. This fic was so full of passion and love. I don’t know, the movie disappointed me in that factor, but great movie anyways. Everything about this fic captured my heart. I thank you for such a great fanfic. It was such a pleasure reading. I simply loved this, so I say job well done! 3

Oh, by the way, you should have kept the deleted scene in the original story, I loved it! It was funny and sweet at the same time. It also showed that Jack was more back to his old self. Well, I'm glad you decided to share it with us ni any case. It just added to the already brilliant story.
