My experience on FanFiction so far.

Hi, I'm Trusty McGoodGuy, formerly aoj95. I write fanfiction in my spare time from uni as its always been something I've enjoyed. I've been doing this for a few years now and I like to think I've come a long way since I first began, with stories like Strange Monkey Boy and Team RWBYZ becoming the most popular in their crossover catagories! Even if it's kind of cheating when there's only a very few other stories to compete with... Either way, I call that a success.

For any new writers that want some advice on their writing, or just with story planning, just flick me a message and I'll help where I can. Though there's no guarantees I'll be able to help too much with stories I don't know.

Name: The Knight and the Spectre

Category: RWBY x Mortal Kombat

Description: "After avenging his family's murder, Scorpion's soul was ripped from Earthrealm and sent away. It was supposed to be the end of him, until his soul landed inside of someone else."

Genre: Action

Characters: Jaune Arc, Scorpion

Status: [IN PROGRESS]

Essentially it's about Scorpion and Jaune sharing the same body. Scorpion still has his powers, and trains Jaune in the way of the Shirai Ryu along with other things happening with them. Ending already decided, along with most of the main story points, just got to be written now.

Name: Schnee Soldier

Catagory: RWBY

Description: "A childhood accident destroyed Jaune's dreams of becoming a hero before they could even really begin. Years of wasted time, and a stump of an arm stopped Jaune from ever being able to become a Huntsman, and he would have given anything to just have the chance. Unfortunately for him, the Schnee Dust Company were looking for someone just like him."

Genre: Action, Romance

Characters: Jaune Arc, Weiss Schnee

So it's a Winter Soldier inspired fic, with Jaune essentially taking the place of Bucky. I wouldn't be posting it in a crossover catagory mainly because; a) RWBY has more stories, and therefore more exposure, b) it doesn't follow too closely to the Winter Soldier film, instead using it more as inspiration than anything else, and c) you don't need to know about the Winter Soldier to be able to follow the story. It is set in the RWBY-verse, and that's all that you'll need to follow it.

Name: The Invincible Girl

Description: "When Pyrrha Nikos died, it was the most painful and horrible moment of her life. That was, until she woke up in her bed with the fear of facing it all again. A second chance had been given to her, a chance for fighting, and a chance for love. She wouldn't let the same mistakes happen from before."

Genre: Action, Romance

Characters: Pyrrha Nikos

So Pyrrha was sent back in time when she died, instead of Jaune as is usually the case. Set before Pyrrha arrives at Beacon, but only a few weeks before, this intends to delve more into Pyrrha's family, and have her be more willing to go for the things that she would have backed out of before. Such as taking the initiative with a certain blonde boy...not Sun, the other blonde boy. I've never written from a female perspective before, so this'll be quite interesting. Should any girls want to lend a hand for beta'ing this one, that would be most appreciated.
