I'm not quite so sure that the Council would be sufficiently stupid as to purposely antagonize a potentially hostile race, even if they do want the entire galaxy under their thumb.

Because, you know, just about everything they've done since the Krogan Rebellions has been to try to avoid. Avoiding war with the Geth, avoiding full-scale warfare with humanity, avoiding a war with the Terminus systems.

Intentionally playing on the goodwill to manipulate a species that has done nothing hostile except stop an attack by slavers seems a little outside their normal play.

Perhaps a better version would be to make a statement about "wanting to properly thank our heroes, they who saved a colony" or something suitably politician-y. Then turn that into a much more subtle play. Like, I don't know, asking their intentions, gauging if the Kryptonians are lying, and THEN sending everything to Hell in a hand basket. Because the Council is, above all, cautious. Having Zod make just the right/wrong comment at the state dinner could easily set one of the Councilors on edge enough that they authorize a SpecTRe takedown.

But that's my only critique, really, and I look forward to more.

Apologizing for an incredibly long wait in a fic that took 15 months from the first chapter to the last and then leaving it un-updated for several years after that seems... premature.

That was one thing I never understood about Man of Steel. You have the tech to completely terraform any old floating rock in space into a near exact copy of your homeworld, and you have to choose the rock that already has inhabitants? Why not Venus? It's mostly useless (with that inhospitable atmosphere) and is the same size of Earth. Mars might be a little cold, but all the better to toughen up your people, right Mr. General Man?

Kryptonians, huh? It'll be interesting to see how ME3 might turn out, once the Reapers actually invade. Probably just a bunch of Kryptonians flying at supersonic speeds through Reaper forces.

Hell, Zod might be able to punch his way through an actual Reaper!

Sad to see this ending here. So much has changed and been affected by the Kryptonians, and we haven't even gotten into the games yet.

Yes, Jax was a complete prick. Everyone knows dissection of a dead subject doesn't get you nearly as much data as using sensors on a living one, you don't have to guess what happens. That didn't sound as evil in my head.

I personally would have setup the amp as a bunch of capsules around the various eezo nodules then used quantum entanglement (it seems to work well enough in Mass Effect) to link them up to a central implant connected to the brain. That way you wouldn't have to deal with the nervous system at all as well as just being quicker. In fact there shouldn't be any reason such an implant wouldn't work for any race, biotic or not.

Are the kryptonians going to use element zero in their technology? Sure you can go the route of "Our tech is better than yours, you dirty primitive" but element zero is still superior for the fact that you'd only need a single atom instead of a complex mechanism.

Also why would the Kryptonian ship be considered Alliance propiety when "it entered atmosphere" , for God's sake, the ship was already there wen humans still tought Earth was flat.

Practically a year from the last update!? D: Wow. Just recently found this story and I absolutely love it. I like the inclusion of Thane, or who I assume we're supposed to believe is Thane, and I can't wait to see what you'll do with the Galaxy's greatest assassin. Also love the inclusion of Wrex. The Quarian and Kryptonians alliance is an interesting choice considering the Kryptonians still use AI's though I assume that'll probably be a secret until relationships are better. Can't wait to see what the Reapers are going to do to make themselves an actual threat to the Keyptonians as they aren't exactly stupid. I do hope this story isn't abandoned and you three update soon!
