I look at writing these stories as a form of writing exercise: where the characters are set, sort-of, but it's up to the writer to create the world for them. The serial nature of this writing forum makes me think of authors like Dickens who used to publish serials in magazines and I find it challenging to be patient, and wait for the next installment but I also find it challenging to write in such a way to make the reader want to come back for more.

In the spirit of full disclosure I have to say that I wasn't really impressed with the Twilight novels or the movies and that I have a hard time understanding the Rob obsession - but I love what people have been doing with the characters of Bella and Edward - so much creativity going on here! In my mind they look nothing like the actors who portray them in the movies but have taken on a life of their own - which is the beauty of imagination.

My story Double Stroller placed 3rd in the public vote for the Meet the Mate Contest. I have continued it but it is currently on hiatus until I can get more of my life under control as I have three children and cancer. But I will keep writing while I can.
