That will teach me to read the whole damn chapter before I jump to conclusions! I'm such an idiot; that being said, I was partly right, a Cullen WAS responsible for the grant. Great build up, tho', of dramatic tension and classic misdirection!

OOOOOooo! Sinister types, knowing that Bella knew the Cullens, provide Bella the means to continue her studies "on location", somehow knowing that the Cullens would find out and come to her (to what? head her off at the pass?) She is the bait. Who could know and why would they care? When you first mentioned the Grant, my first thought was that the CULLENS themselves were behind it. Very interesting twist. Kudos to you.

OMG! "the Toddler in my head". I often argue with the "2 yr. old" in MY head! The 2 yr. old wants her way ALL the TIME; and NEVER accepts the consequences of her actions. Her rationale? "What do you expect? I'm only TWO, you're supposed to be the MATURE one!"

This is REALLY AU while still being somewhat loyal to canon. As I remember it, Edward smelled like sunlight and honey and lilacs. So, Bella doesn't know they are Vamps! A really interesting premise. Carry on! Thank God this is Complete. I've been soooo Disappointed in the past with writers dropping the story just when it gets REALLY good! Have you read Glitch?
