 Author has written 10 stories for Star Wars, Star Wars, Avengers, Borderlands, and Legend of Zelda. I write quite a bit. Mostly stories that will be published one day, and I am using and for the stories I have no intent of publishing. Probably because they are fan fiction. I am a deep believer in the idea of characters making the story for you. You do no work yourself. In every story of mine, and in my way of making them, I make the characters, stick them within a certain laws of physics and culture, and let them make their own story. It requires incredible understanding of them and their enviroment and characters deep enough to have personality. Then its all about predicting their next move, or observing them as they do it. Not forcing story on them. If they cant generate moves or story on their own, they arent deep enough. To force your own logic and desires on characters, I feel, is superficial and takes away from the story. If I cant be true to the story and characters, and have them run TRULY free, then there is no point writing it. It is not a world of its own anymore, it is nothing more than an empty collection of words. The only work I do to manipulate the story after its started is kill off characters, insert new ones within a logical way true to the story and steer it in a direction, or create 3rd party influence slightly, like a road bump to shift it slightly. I refuse to insert my own ideas or logic, just because I want it. My focus is on the Star Wars "In the Path of" series that follows GalenMarek/Starkiller through life. I have not forgotten my other stories, but they are on the back-burner.
