Author has written 5 stories for Young Justice. Hello there! Since it has literally been 6 years since I last updated any of my stories, I figured the least I could do is update this profile. First of all, I want to sincerely apologize for my disappearance off of the face of this earth. I am aware of how hypocritical this sounds, but I know how frustrating it can be when you find an uncompleted story that you enjoy, or a story that isn't updated frequently. I am extremely grateful for and am humbled by the amount of favorites that my stories have received and that I continue to get reviews to this day. It was rewarding as a teenager and is still rewarding as an adult (even an adult that doesn't know what the hell she's doing half of the time). So I offer my sincere thanks to those of you who have read my stories. Now for the reasons behind my hiatus (or my "excuses", for lack of a better term): As most of you are aware, I only wrote Young Justice fanfics. I loved that show. It was amazing, especially after watching Teen Titans for years. And then the 5 year jump happened. I really disliked that dang jump. It gave me whiplash. Robin, as in Dick Grayson, was my favorite character. And holy heck was it slightly shocking to find that he was now Nightwing, who felt like a Batman in training. And of course everyone else had major changes and the whole dynamic changed and the team wasn't the team anymore and blah blah blah. Blue Beetle is my second favorite from the show, but despite his screen time it just wasn't the same. It was just really depressing, honestly. Well, my creativity was pretty much thrown out the window along with the new season, and despite the fact that my stories still took place in the first season's timeline, my muse was still gone. I know, excuses. But I hope that gives you some sort of idea. Now what you're really wondering is will I continue/finish my stories? My answer is not the best: I don't know. Now that I'm older and have more experience with writing, a part of me says that if I ever were to continue my stories, I'd probably rewrite them all together. Fine tune them, you know? Give them what I couldn't give as a slightly inexperienced 16 year old. So it would be a process; one that would take some time. But maybe it'd be worth it. I'm still on this website a bunch. Just because I'm not currently writing doesn't mean that I'm not still reading. I've found phenomenal stories on here. A lot of said stories have kind of sparked my urge to write again because of their insane quality. You guys are talented AF. Thank you for being willing to share your talent on here. Maybe I'll pick up the pencil (or open a freaking word document, really) again someday. -NerdGirl112 |
