Reviews for On the Wrong Side
LunaBianca chapter 1 . 3/21/2018
I love how quickly both Dean and Sam were able to disassemble the conflict, grasp their brother's emotional state and coping mechanisms, and resolve to work through the issues to stay together. Dean's near misses build tension and it is so satisfying to read Sam's impressive defiance and escape. And there are brother memories and protectiveness too! What more can a reader ask for. ;)

The rundown '69 Impala is a nice touch. :) Thanks for sharing!

Oh. I love it
Companion92 chapter 1 . 11/27/2016
This is one of my favorite stories of yours. And it's amazing how close this got to canon ("Hunted", "Bad Day at Black Rock", "Fresh Blood", "Keep Calm and Carry On")
Guest chapter 1 . 3/12/2015
I have read many of your stories, and I love alot of them, but this one is special. I love how much you got in this one, not only does Dean save Sam and comfort him, but Sam partially saves himself, and so much angst and love between them... I don't know if I'm explaining it well, but it's one of my favorites from you.
Sallyannerenee chapter 1 . 3/12/2015
This is one of my favorites that you have written. I've read it several times already. Love it.
Fi Suki Saki chapter 1 . 6/3/2014
Good...

-

A bit Wondering, if these two hunters hurt Sam more than that, would Dean kill them...?

I know what Dean capable, but just curious...

This is Great by the way!

Written prior to "Hunted"? I think the author may have been experiencing some prescient visions.

Catching up on fanfic is my way of dealing with hiatus. :-)
Freya922 chapter 1 . 6/9/2013
This was terrific: gripping and believable.

My word. There were times reading this one that I literally stopped and reread passages a couple times over and over and over again because the wording was so perfect and the image was so powerful and it hit so close to home. It was AMAZING. So good. And then of course the story was great with them splitting up and realizing that it was a bad idea but Sam getting taken and breaking away like three different times even when he'd been shot and drugged because he's just epic like that and then Dean showing up at the end because there was no way he was letting anyone get to Sam. Wow. Fantastic. Below are a few of my very favorite passages:

It figured. He tried and tried, and nothing he did was good enough. One slip-up and his family took off like they couldn't get away from him fast enough. One wrong move. - THIS IS MY FAVORITE. MY GOODNESS.

He had kept asking Dean why, expecting him to know and make it better because he could still remember when Dean knew everything. What was he really mad about, that Dean wasn't omniscient? That he'd been worried about Sam and tried every resource he knew to help him?

Maybe Sam was a danger, but that was something Dean had always been very willing to face. And they were stronger together, there was no question of that. So why had he walked out on Dean? On the person whose worst fear was to be left with no one, who'd worried enough to try to find Sam some answers? How could he have done that?

Dean jammed the leather tie deep into his jeans pocket. No way he was losing that. Sam would want it back. / And he wanted Sam back.

Human or not, hunter or not, Carter Simms had just become fair game.

"You come after my brother one more time, and I'm gonna have better aim."

Even now, Sam, the tough guy who'd knocked out his armed captor, gotten out of cuffs, and struggled nearly ten blocks with a bullet in his leg, was wrapped around Dean's hand like he was afraid his brother would vanish while he slept. Stupid kid, Dean shook his head. As if he'd ever done any of the walking out in their family. As if Sam could do anything—or become anything—to make him go.

Just…do me a favor and whisper in a few ears, okay? This was all just a misunderstanding, there's nothing special about Sam." Well, except to his brother. Between himself and the furniture, Dean thought the kid was pretty darn amazing. "But anyone else tries to mess with him again for any reason, they're going to find me in the way."
shookenuppepsi chapter 1 . 4/6/2013
Gotta love limp!Sam, but I love that you make him strong and self-sufficient even when he's hurt. He's one bamf and people tend to like slotting him as just Dean's little bro and leaving him there. They need each other, sure, but they are both determined and tough dudes.
MysteryMadchen chapter 1 . 7/14/2011
Thought this story was fantastic and very well done. The only thing I can say I didn't like is that I didn't get multiple chapters to enjoy it more. Thank yo so much for something I truly enjoyed reading. Nicole. :)
CarolAnnly chapter 1 . 3/17/2010
I'm sorta late to this story but I'm so glad I found this, hon.

Lovely story - lovely boys - big misunderstandings. Perfect. :)
Nana56 chapter 1 . 12/16/2009
Okay, this is now one of my favorites. Both brothers strong and capable...Sam knowing to leave the bracelet as a clue even as he was succumbing to the drug; then able to get away on his own. Worried, terrified, PISSED OFF big brother doing what he does best...finding and protecting Sam in hunter-mode. :D

Loved Sam latching onto Dean's jacket in the phone booth and Dean ready to kill anyone who tried to dislodge it. *sighs happily*

Very, very, very satisfying fic. I'm going to sit here and savor for a while. :)
evila-elf chapter 1 . 10/23/2009
Awe! Another great story! You write the boys perfectly and I love the nail-biting angst (which almost became toe-biting because I ran out of fingernails!)

Thanks for the suggestion to read this one, too!
