Author has written 13 stories for Death Note, Code Geass, Pokémon, Naruto, Harry Potter, Detective Conan/Case Closed, and Mass Effect. Well, I am Ethan Redfield, a detective. Gender: Male My favorite animes include: 1. Detective Conan 2. Naruto 3. Bleach 4. Code Geass 5. Pokemon 6. Yugioh 7. .hack series 8. Full metal panic Series 9. Kenshin 10. Full Metal Alchemist I also support out troops. I'm currently working on 3 stories: Naruto Dimension Pokemon Revolution: Kanto Dawn I'm also playing around with ideas from 1 other of my fanfictions. However, I hope to surprise you all. Rules of stories When I read stories, there are certain rules in a story I prefer to follow. Now, these rules are not absolute, as in the words of Morpheus: Some rules can be bent, others can be broken. However, I keep these ideas in mind as I read and write the stories I read/write respectively. 1. Proofread, proofread, proofread: A story-killer if I've ever seen one is one filled with grammer errors, run-ons, improper punctuations, and too long paragraphs. A general rule of thumb - no more than 4 lines of text if one can help it. If you're not good at writing a story without grammatical errors, GET A BETA-READER! improper punctuations - if you use commas, make sure you use it right. Otherwise, those who know how to use commas will be confused with your writings. 2. Make sure it's believable: It has to make sense, and it has to be within the realm of possibility. For example: in naruto, Neji cannot join Team 7 (Naruto's Team) UNLESS...unless it is explained that he failed the first test or took the test one year later or something like that. He cannot just randomly join team 7 for no good reason. General rule of thumb - If possible, explain where the deviation occurred from the canonocity of whatever you're writing. 3. Make sure the story is and stays compelling. One story, I read the first three chapters of a certain story that looked interesting. For the first 2 chapters, It remained interesting, then I got bored on the third chapter because it lost interest. I started not really caring how it turned out. How does a person do that? Each person is different. Find a means to keep your audience hooked in. 4. This is not necessarily a storykiller in my book, but be careful with repeating a similar event too many times. While blowing up a prison is fantastic story idea...the first time, repeated prison explosions get somewhat boring. However, there is no guarantee that it can be avoided, so just be careful. There may be others, but I'll figure them out as I think of them. CHALLENGE: Pokemon Revolution, In my pokemon fanfiction series, Cipher has succeeded in taking over the world, except Sinnoh. My challenge is this, Show how Cipher Conquered all the regions using any characters you want. Anything goes, and anyone is fair game for survival or death (Except Wes from Pokemon Colusseum, if possible). Good luck. Remember, there are 3 regions to be conquered: Hoenn, Johto and Kanto. Pet Peeves One thing that really irrates me about Naruto fanfiction: when they say Kakashi hated Naruto. Now, I've read some of them, and a few are pretty good, like Lionheart's Chuunin Exam Day. However, There is proof that Kakashi didn't play favorites with Sasuke. When teams 7, 8 and 10 were formed, while everyone else was looking at Sasuke Uchiha, Kakashi was observing Naruto. He made many references to Naruto being the son of the Yondaime. So, it was Naruto that drew Kakashi's attention, not Sasuke. The two just had sharingan eyes, which explains why Kakashi trained Sasuke. Also, I don't think Sasuke planned on betraying the village, but then again what do I know? Pokemon Revolution series Character set up: Protagonist Original Characters: Jake Redfield – At the start of the story, Jake is an idealist pokemon trainer. He is strong-willed, but smart at times. He might even be considered a bit too trusting. He’s defeated one admin at this time: Dusk Fredrick. Current Bounty – 30 Million Poke Anna Redfield – Sister of Jake Redfield. She has yet to be introduced in great detail, but Anna is a very kindhearted person. No current Bounty Daniel Vellar – Cipher scientist, fled with the shadow Celebi. He ends up being a techno-genius, disillusioned with Cipher’s plans for world domination. During Cipher resurrection, he is the mole inside Cipher. When he first met Shadow Lugia, he threw up. Escaped on Arodactyl. Fugitive in the Kanto Region. Currently traveling with Jake Redfield, Shadow Pokémon snagger. Silver hair, blue eyes. Attempted to escape on her Starraptor, but was shot down by Lugia’s shadow storm. Current Status – unknown, but presumed alive. Close friends with Zack Dragoon Nathan Raider – Brother of Sky Raider. His personality is one of Defiance and hatred of all trainers in the world. He steals Jake’s Clefairy. Current bounty – 1 million poke Sky Raider – Current Status – Dead. Brother of Nathan Raider. Died in the battle of Cerulean City between Kanto Dawn and Cipher Resurrection pushing Zack Dragoon out of the way of Shadow Lugia’s attack. One of the Legendary 4 trainers. Bounty When alive – 150 Million Poke. Antagonist Original Characters: Dusk Fredrick – former Cipher admin, Pewter City, Kanto Region. Held the Shadow Articuno and Shadow Salemance. Dusk’s past is unknown before Kanto Dawn, but he claims to be skilled in pokemon battles. He’s cruel, mocking, spiteful human being. He fell from graces when Jake Redfield stole both his articuno and Salamence. He was skilled enough to take down Jake’s cyndaquil (one of the strongest pokemon in the series), but failed to do anything further. He’s now teamed up with Laura Finders and seeks to kill Jake. Jordan Vellar – Cipher head scientist. He was one of the lead scientists who worked on Shadow Lugia alongside Lovrina. He’s also Daniel Vellar’s brother. His character hasn’t been revealed very much, but he’s absolutely loyal to Cipher. Laura Finders – Former Cipher admin of Cerulean City. Laura’s character was based of Anko Mitarashi, except much more evil. She’s sadistic, vengeful, meticulous and cruel. She’s skilled in fighting hand to hand and with throwing knives. During the war between Kanto Dawn and Cipher Resurrection, she lost an eye in an accident when fighting Zack Dragoon. She’s sworn to kill Zack someday. Laura was one of the best Cipher agents in the world, because she can fight Zack Dragoon to a standstill sometimes. However, she fell from graces when Zack defeated her in Cerulean City. Of course, it might have had something to do with Laura rigging Cerulean HQ to self-destruct at the touch of a button. Now, she’s apart of a hunter team under an unknown benefactor who seeks Zack’s and Jake’s Death alongside Dusk Fredrick. Current Bounty 80 million poke Al Wickers – former Cipher Snagger and Commander in Chief – Original Shadow Pokémon – Shadow Dragonair and Shadow Blaziken During Cipher Ressurection, Wickers fought and defeated several well known trainers and stole many of their pokemon. He also led Cipher’s newly formed army against Agate Village and Mt. Battle. Between Kanto Dawn and Cipher Resurrection, Wickers slowly becomes disillusioned with Cipher and his actions of leading the armies against Hoenn, Sinnoh, Kanto, and Johto. He leaves Cipher at the very beginning of Kanto Dawn and hasn’t been seen again. Neutral Original Characters: Adena Cruise – Civilian doctor who helped Pokémon on Mount Battle. Rescued from the mountain by Al Wickers during the events of Cipher Resurrection. She’s also Wicker’s love interest. Current status: unknown but presumed well. |
