The price of betrayal is high, but the price of wrong presumptions might be higher, and no one is too mighty to fall. Ward and the team struggle with the consequences of their actions shortly after the fall of Centipede. Be warned that the narrative gets very dark at the beginning, and remember that redemption is possible for everyone, if they fight for it long enough.

"It is quite obvious that you care a great deal about your team. But just how much are you willing to give up for them? "I would give everything for them," Steve says without hesitation. Written for the prompt over at hoodie-time: After Purgatory Dean has trouble making choices about the simplest things - choosing what to wear, what to eat, what to drink. On hunts he's fine, lightning-fast and decisive, but when they're in a gas station staring at rows of candy, he freezes. At first Sam is annoyed but then he figures out what's going on and helps.

When you come from hell, it's hard to believe you deserve anything better. And when you've carried secrets alone for so long, it's damn near impossible to believe that there's anyone out there who could share your burden. The team's journey, from Ward's perspective. I believe in Grant Ward, and I believe there is hope at the end of the story.

Even when you have massive firepower at your disposal, you can't kill everyone all at once. As the events of CA:TWS unfold, the bad guys send attackers after all their enemies who are out of range.
