If I rate your story, I use this scale:
10 is a perfect, model fanfic that all fanfics should aspire to, truly awesome
9 is excellent, exceptional in nearly all ways, what I aim for, impressive
8 is very good, with a bit of room for improvement evident, nice
7 is good, with clear room for improvement and non-major errors or problems
6 is pretty good, with distracting errors or some real problems with plot, dialog, format, or narration
5 is passable, with frequent errors or serious problems that really should have been addressed before posting

Most fairly good fics on FFnet are about a 7, some lower or higher. Only about 2 percent of fics are a 9 or higher. I can go for months not seeing a 10. A 6 is what happens if a 17 year old proofs a draft of a fairly good story once and posts without really reworking it. A 4 or 5 is normally written by someone under 14, or very lazy.

My writing is about 7.5 to 8, suffering mostly from a few minor errors and a lack of plot or originality. Most good published novels are 8 to 8.5 (most books are more like 6 or 7). A bit of proofing and added narration can easily boost a good story from mangled 6 to a polished 7.5.

My favorite animes/mangas are TOKKO, Detective Conan (Case Closed), Detective Academy Q, Inukami, Hellsing, Bleach, Evangelion, Rebirth, Psychic Academy, Hagane Renkinjitsushi (FMA), Naruto, Furikuri (FLCL), Gundam Wing, Teen Titans, or any with quiet, obsessive, violent or evil boys figuring prominently in their plot. I like characters I can identify with. =) And redheaded girls with cat ears and tails, can't go wrong with those.
