this entire series is like what would happen if Eva was part of the dark age of western comics. Their are little to no likable characters, and the "heroes" sacrifice any and all positive traits for a teenager's idea of what's cool and bad ass."Compassion is not weakness and Brutality is not strength." This fic tries and almost succeeds at being the antithesis of that sentiment, and people applaud it for that.

Wow... Just wow. This story was more than a mere tale, it was an experience.

Good story. I liked it, it was well written, and definitely worth reading.
There were several lore inconsistencies a couple of them being:
given their differing amounts of power did the warhammer gods make a difference? In my mind any single one of the gods from warhammer would be many times more powerful then all the new gods put together, Then the enemy will have 60,000,000 years advantage over the new forces.

Ok, i'll have to give you that this epos kept me reading til the end. :XD Since i don't have that much Warhammer 40K background i can't say much about how it will divide from their canon, still i was kinda baffled about the agreement between the different gods. But i guess in the end it's the needs that have to be met. :)

Judging by the latest Novel, Dark Imperium, GW may have read your story, because the state of the emperor is pretty darn close to what you are describing here. Basically his body is incapacitated, but gorging on so many souls over 10,000 years has made him even more powerful than before and the way he is detached from any individual (though he might still love humanity as a whole, just not any individual) and literally being a burning star of psychic energy. I am pretty sure in a few decades, we'd actually see GW publishing the Emperor as the fifth chaos god.

Okay so working with the idea that each of the pilots will begin following one the Chaos Gods, I’m honestly at a loss for who Asuka would follow, I could see the argument for either Khorn or Slaanesh, while Asuka is the most hot headed of the the pilots she’s also a perfectionist and a narcissist, which neatly puts her in Slaanesh’s House. I don’t know much about Mari but I do know she apparently liked the smell of the LCL, so I think being a follower of Khorn would work best for her. And I guess that leave Kaworu with Chaos Undivided, though he’s also an Angel so I don’t know if that mean that he simply wouldn’t follow the powers, or ensure it.

Considering Slaanesh is also a god of perfectionism, wouldn’t a messy room be exactly against her/his/it’s views? A cluttered room I could see, but everything would be in some kind of perfect(for lack of a better term) order, a place for everything and everything in its place, if it was a mess it may not meet the standards of perfection Slaanesh demands, it wouldn’t look nice, and last time I checked Slaanesh was more a “disturbingly beautiful” kinda gal/guy/insert1single-syllable-slang-term-for-multigender-entity-here when it came to decor, and pretty much everything else.

Glorious. Absolutely glorious is what this story is. Loved every minute of it.

Ok, this makes the exposition chapter less of a let down. Still, you might have been better served to avoid details before the flashback. A lot of tension is lost when I already know the end result.
