This is a really nice one shot. While the premise is decent, the characterizations however are really great. Keitaro feels so... Keitaro-like and while the burgeoning relationship between him and Kitsune is rushed (as expected by a short story), you still manage to sell it.

Of course, the absolute best part of this story is the brilliant twist at the end. It takes what would otherwise be a good story and turns it into a great one.

This shows that even WAFFY one shot romance pieces can still, when executed properly, carry the impact and nuance of ten chapter full blown saga. That ending takes a cute five and notches it up several levels.

This was brilliant... i could see Keitaro, with its "huge" experience with women, fall after some sweet attention and a good kiss but Kitsune? I was starting to see this fic like a classical waff without any characterization. But, with the final twist, it all made sense :P

A very interesting stroy, with a twist I didn't expect.

I noticed something interesting - perhaps it was your intent, perhaps not - but one of the translations for your female OC's name is 'decoy', which makes this all the more clever.

Like I said, I don't know if you're still writing or checking your reviews, but keep up the good work.

Hmm, I liked the story except for that last bit. It seemed like you made Kitsune a bit too manipulative. It probably should have been a much more lighthearted meeting between the two. It almost seemed like a mafia hit the way they met and that she really didn't care for Keitaro that way. Thats just my opinion though and it was still a good story.

I do not think words can describe how awesomely in character this was for Kitsune. She wasn't lying, yet she wasn't telling the whole truth. And you can't lie if you never said anything in the first place.

I don't think I've seen many fics where Kitsune arranges for him to fall in love with her, or she stays the same after falling in love with him. This was very refreshing with how you set it all up.

That was a great story. I wouldnt expected the in thousend years. Very surprising.
