Author has written 9 stories for Harry Potter, High School Musical, and Twilight. About Me/What I'm Up to Now: Hmmm. I live in Florida. Right now, I'm in the middle of writing 'Fixing Us' which is new, but could also be considered a rewrite of I'll Never Change. I'm on the wall right now about rewriting/deleting the stories that I have already written. I have an entire Summer Vacation, so let's see where this leads. Stance on Reviews/Favorites: I love reviews and reviewing. Reviewing someone else's work allows you to tell that person how much you love their story and it also gives you the chance to critique someone else's work. That helps you personally grow as a writer (I think). I have been known to leave the occasional harsh review, I admit. But it's not because I'm having a bad day, but because I wonder what somebody was really thinking when they wrote it and posted it. Not to say that what I write is perfect. I know I'm still a work in progress to. What I'm Reading Now: The majority of what I read is Mystery and Romance Novels. When I say Mystery I'm more into James Patterson, though I cannot stand the Maximum Ride series. That has to do with the fact that both that another series by him has the same subject matter. Onto Romance I think that I am a buff for Historical Romance/ Regencies. The whole idea of Dukes and Duchesses, and propriety just sends a thrill through me. And the period wear and language. As far as Harry Potter goes I believe that Harry and Hermione is the only thing that would work logically. I kind of stopped reading after the fifth book, because it got kind of ridiculous at that point. For Twilight, I'll admit I picked it up only after the trailer started showing. And I wanted to see the movie so I had to read the book.( I can't keep ranting about people who watch the movies and do read the book, if I become one of them.) It wasn't as horrible as I thought it would be. Edward (Robert Pattinson) is now my new eye candy.I hated the whole book of Breaking Dawn. It killed a part of me, just as Deathly Hallow did. Although I have to admit that it killed me in the first book where they kept on referring to Edward's amazing good looks. "Okay, I got it already. He's a Greek God. He's chiseled like only Michelangelo can do. Now where is the rest of this plot?" Argeneau Series by Lynsay Sands: The same friend who inspired me to read Regency Books also brought Lynsay Sands to my attention. She's great because she writes both funny Regies and Vampire Stories. It's everything that I probably missed from Twilight (the sex scenes). They are nearly as invincible with a more human side to them and a very neat Atlantis story to match. Honorary Sequels: Series of Unfortunate Events by Lemony Snicket--I'm still slightly peeved that I don't know what the hell was going on at the end. I never figured out exactly how the Ersatz Elevator connected with the ruins of the house, but I was overall pleased with the entire series. I have all the books and still can get lost for hours. Harry Potter: Even though I didn't read the last two books thoroughly, I have to say that the first five were spectacular enough, and created a world where I have to say that it was pretty darn good. As far as fanfiction goes, I have ready very few successful sequels. I'm the kind of person that gest bored very easily and if the story isn't that interesting or captivating, I will probably stop reading it, but love the original. Sometimes that first happily ever after is all that we need to read. |
