My "Headstrong" Review

Ashley Tisdale is known for her work on Disney Channel in the Suite Life and in the DCOM's hit movie, High School Musical! Now, she is on her own, and ready to join the many stars in the music world. Her debut album "Headstrong" is very different form what you expect from the 21-year old. The songs and beats are much more mature and edgier.

We start off with the "Intro," which is one of the best intros I have heard! All the songs are blended to one, giving the listener a taste of what's to come.

Next, we have the song "So Much For You." The song is very much one you can dance to and has a great beat. Right after it, comes the controversial hit, "He Said, She Said." Yes, it is the "explicit" version, but it is a great one to listen to. It is the most mature song on the album. I guarantee you will have the song stuck to your head for days. I can't wait for the music video. I have seen clips so I am excited! Next, we have the urban song "Be Good to Me." It has a great message with a great beat to it.

Then, we have "Not Like That." It is the type of song that Gwen Stefani would do, and it is bassically the whole tabloid thing, but it is done in a way that is less whiny and more enjoyable. Now we come to the first ballad, "Unlove You." This song showcases Tisdale's true vocal abilities and shows how versatile of an artist she truly is, and maybe one of her strongest songs on the CD. I love how she puts so much emotion to it and it may make you cry!

Soon comes the much loved "Positivity." This song just makes you want to dance, and is a great "single worthy" song. We then come to "Love Me, For Me." It has great vocals and a great message. It talks about how to be yourself and not to change for anyone. Next, we have the Brintey type songs "Goin Crazy" and "Over It." Now "Goin Crazy" will grow on you after a couple of listen, but "Over It" will irritate you each time you listen to it. But hey, that is my opinion.

The CD comes back with a vengeance! We have the cover song "Don't Touch," which has a lot of great instrumental and showscases Tisdale's seductive side. Right after, we have "We'll Be Together." It is the rock ballad and it is well done. We then have Ashley's anthym song "Headstrong," One you can't get enough of!

Finally, the CD closes with "Suddenly." It ties the CD perfectly, and it a great ballad. It is done with emotion and it was a job well done

Now, I bought my copy at the nearest Wal-Mart, so I got the bonus tracks. The first is "Who I Am," which has a great beat, and techno. I love techno. Then we have the song that was inspired by "Efron" himself (Actually, it was inspired by her friends, but in a magazine they made a big deal about it and twisted the story), "It's Life." It talks about the life of a star, and how you are watched every second.

In the end, the CD is close to perfect! It is a great debut ablum for Ash. Sure, she does not have the vocals of "V" but this CD was better planned. So if you have not bought the CD yet, then you should! I can already tell that things are looking bright for Ashley... the next big thing!!
