Before I tried writing anything, I read hundreds and thousands of fics and was like, pff, no fic under 40 000 words is worth reading, my favorite author isn't updating as quick as Id like, I'm a stupid idiot (that last one was subtextual). And now (ta-dum) I started writing one fic and I wrote like 3000 words over the span of 10 hours of more or less constant writing and I am exhausted. So there. There's a lesson there somewhere.
