I don't know if Ieft a review the first two or three times I finished this story, but I really wanted to thank you for writing it. I try to read a lot of literature, and I want to be a writer when I'm older, but I also spend a lot of time reading fanfiction (whether that's good or bad).

Anyway, as I'm sure you know, it's a really unique occurrence that I find a story that's actually good and doesn't just please some superficial fantasy I have. I can genuinely think of only 4 stories I've ever read that have done that I think are good, and this is one of them.

I just love the way you wrote this story. The perspective, the present tense, the way everything feels so grounded but exciting, too. The way you write these characters, Naruto, Sakura, Sasuke, Samui, and even Team 9, is so... full, I guess. I want to be friends with these people, to talk to them and spend time with them.

I love the naturalism but slight dramaticism of the dialogue, I love the way Naruto describes things in an understandable and humorous way, I love the way Naruto thinks of Sasuke and the way Sakura hugs Naruto. Even your descriptions of the world feel fun and colorful, and I do think, far more than I ever felt from the actual anime, that I would love to be part of the Naruto world.

Also, the way you write Naruto in first person is really impressive and immersing. I don't think of you as the person speaking when I read the story, the way most first-person stories end up sounding. Instead, I really felt like I understood Naruto, the character Naruto, and his thoughts and feelings as they were transcribed to me.

I also just love the story. How you make many of the absurdities of the Narutoverse seem normal and real, not by justifying it, but by changing it to fit reality. I love the exciting intrigue about the Tailed Beasts (I've always wished they had that sort of mystique!) and Naruto's circumstances (especially in the latest chapter, with the thought stuff? that was seriously so freaking cool I loved it) and Uzushiogakure, etc.

The character interaction is just so great. I want to see Naruto become closer to Samui, to Sakura, and to Hinata, and I want to better understand his relationship with Sasuke. I want them to open up to each other, to have ups and downs and to see what happens in the end.

The fighting is great, too. I love the way you write techniques and the learning processes. You understand that a lot of what makes it fun is watching someone solve it right beside you. You feel like Naruto's really overcome some barrier when he happens upon the solution to a new jutsu, and you feel like it's deserved.

The story is also funny. There are so many little things that made me laugh, including sillier ones like Naruto saying to Sasuke, "Your mom better be a Bijuu in the kitchen" or whatever, that phrase always makes me laugh. Plus all the stuff with B, especially the "our symbol's a tree. Wait, fuck," that makes me laugh so fucking hard every time, my god.

Anyway, I just really wanted to thank you for writing this story. I can tell a lot of genuine love and interest and excitement and creativity went into your writing because it shows. It feels really sincere. It's made me think about writing differently, and it inspires me too, even right now. I'm still in high school, and I'll be starting college next year, otherwise I would try to support you on Patreon, because your work seriously deserves it. I don't know if you ever want to come back to this, and I get it if you don't, but I just want you to know that a lot of people really, sincerely appreciate this story and not just in a surface-level way. Thank you so much again, and good luck in whatever you're doing now and in the future, whether it's writing or something else!

I have read a ton of fanfiction, for 6 years, and I have experienced a lot of good and bad fanfiction along the way. Yours is one of the best stories I have ever read.

For what it’s worth, this story is one of the best stories I’ve ever read. I don’t know whether you will ever actually post a rewrite, I don’t know whether you completely abandoned it or not but I will say, beg even, that you continue on with this story because it is simply amazing. The world building, the characters, everything is done to the upmost perfection. Please, please, please finish this story, or at least until the chuunin exams finish.
