Hey I'm Apela

I'm from Holland, but I'm pretty good at English (except for speaking English, but that doesn't really matter here). I love writing and I do it a lot, but sometimes (read:always) I have trouble finishing what I started. That's where you come in! That people read my stories is a great motivation to continue writing the stories I've started.

Or at least that was the plan, but my motivation for the stories I've published has long since migrated. I'm still writing (June 2018), but many of my plotbunnies, especially published ones, won't be finished, at least not by me. I made a list of the ones you can adopt (and in my opinion are worth adopting). If you're interested in any of them, please PM me. I have a good memory and quite a few notes scattered around, so at the very least I'll be able to tell you where I was going.

On a more positive note, I'm getting further and further with the stories I am writing! None of them are close to being done (except Spark, which I should have edited and published by now), but I've got a few oneshots started and several of the longer ones have more than 2 chapters (yeah, that's an achievement for me).

P.S. I'm beginning to see a pattern in my main characters for Hetalia fics.

Plot Outline: Haruka is raped on his way to school. He can't talk, but he seems fine otherwise. As time passes though, Makoto realizes Haruka was more traumatized than he lets on.

This is my most popular fic, and plot-wise I haven't found any problems with it yet. The published chapters require a rewrite though. It just won't happen from me because I haven't touched Free! after posting the third chapter.

Plot outline: England is marrying America. In a last bid to break up their marriage/get England at least for the night, France takes advantage of England during his 4th of July binge drink night. The American and the Brit marry anyway and France is left with a problem...

Fourth/Third/Second

Genre: Fantasy, Reincarnation - Characters: Prussia, a mage of your choice (mine was England)

Plot outline: Gilbert has been born cursed. Born-to curses are always the worst ones. So why hasn't anything happened to him yet? His parents bring him to a high mage to find out.

Notes: This is a trilogy in reversed chronological order (and now I feel like writing a short version of it...), where in each life Gilbert searches for the source of his curse with the help of a mage (same every time) and the memories of his past life (which can be partly accessed with magic).

Genre: Fantasy - Characters: France, England, Scotland

Plot outline: A beggar meets two very interesting mages

Status: I have to check the spelling and make a few tweaks to the language maybe, but the story is written down.

Currently working on - Just a Song

Genre: Fantasy - Characters: England, Prussia, France

Plot outline: Three banished kids try to take down a church...which is easier said than done

Status: It's a story that's still with me even after several years, but I still haven't figured out some parts of the plot. It has come a long way though. Spark (see the 'Ready for publishing') is actually set in the same universe...something which may or may not give you a headache but makes sense once you've read this story.

Currently working on - Good Knight (temporary title)

Genre: Fantasy - Characters: Prussia, England

Plot outline: Gilbert is a sort-of rookie adventurer with money problems, but his luck seems to turn after he meets a certain mage

Status: I've actually got a few chapters done for this (though I'm not publishing them until I have a whole lot more. It's written on the go, but at least I have some idea where it is going

Dear Diary

Genre: Drama, Hurt/Comfort - Characters: France, England

Plot outline: To improve his English, Francis starts a diary exchange with a British boy. But then Francis' world starts falling apart.

Status: Unwritten, but I have a complete plot outline lying around somewhere. Definitely something I want to write, but might still end up on the adoption list.

Strange Things:

Genre: Friendship - Characters: BTT England, with a few others jumping in.

Plot outline: Set in Harry Potter universe. At the edge of the village lives the mysterious Kirkland family. Even Gilbert, who has investigated them for years, knows next to nothing about them. The letters he and his friends Francis and Toni receive on their birthdays might just allow them to find out their secret. AKA I got tired of countries slipping into Hogwarts as students or teachers, and decided to write a Hogwarts Human AU.

Status: I really want to write it (cause it's awesome), but still have some problems with the plot (or general lack of it). Still, it's getting somewhere, and I have something written for it, along with some ideas for events.

Mystic World:

Genre: Sci-Fi/Fantasy (because Hetalia Ranger's Apprentice = Sci-Fi, obviously)- Characters: Prussia & England, Ranger's Apprentice characters, more Hetalia characters

Plot outline: Set in a Sci-Fi version of Araluen (Ranger's apprentice series): A delinquent and a noble pick up a very, very realistic game, which forces them into roles they would never have picked for themselves. Still, everything has a reason, and in this game that's twice as true.

Status: I've had a dozen versions of this plot by now, but the roles are filled and starting point is more or less set.

Final Fantasy VII

Path to the Stars:

Genre: Gaming, Sci-Fi - Characters: Genesis, Angeal, among others

Plot outline: The new VRMMORPG Final Fantasy VII is going to make Genesis, a Final Fantasy fanboy, famous. Or at least, that's what he believes. The game is far more realistic than its predecessors, and Genesis finds himself falling behind. To make things worse, he's overtaken by his friend Angeal, who never touched a game before. Still, he'll make a comeback!

Status: The biggest issue with this plot is solved, but it'll take more work to mold the plot into a good one. Still, I've got many things settled and several chapters to be edited.

Dropped (all Hetalia unless stated otherwise):

Full Bloom: High-school AU. I lost interest in this one. One day I might make a new attempt, but for now I've removed it from fanfiction.net

Worlds/Worlds: Into the future: Alternate reality, all characters, it used to be my headcanon, now I have lost interest in it.

Another world: Alternate reality, all characters, kind-of spin off of Worlds. This world is still a headcanon of mine, but I've decided it is impossible to write down.

Couvade: Mpreg, DenNor/NorDen. Might still happen one day, but I'm stuck and I can't find a way to make the plot realistic.

The Experiment: PWP, after a very interesting night with England, France decides to test something... Plot works, I'm just no longer interested. Result: England tops Russia. Woowwww :P

Far from Home (LOTR x Ranger's apprentice): Though a lovely plot I still occasionally revisit in my mind, it is unlikely to ever leave my mind
