 Author has written 1 story for Harry Potter, and Elder Scroll series. One of the best lines I've ever read from a Harry Potter fan fic can be found at the end of chapter 14 of Follow the Phoenix: A note for Fans and Authors of Naruto Fics...THERE IS NO "SANNIN LEVEL" OF NINJA! The Sannin, or completely named the "Densetsu no Sannin" simply means "Three Ninja of Legend". In Naruto-verse there are 3 levels of nin, Genin, Chunin & Jounin. Kage is a position, only the 5 great villages(Konoha, Kumo, Kiri, Suna & Iwa) and have the rank...there is no Otokage or Kusakage ect...! Yes they have leaders, but not "Kage". Tokebetsu Jounin are a mid rank between Chunin and Jounin. Elite in one area(Ibiki & Anko in Torture & Interrogation, Ebisu in teaching ect...) but not up to snuff in one or all other areas and can't be classified as Jounin. It's a pet peeve of mine to read stories and people keep talking about "Sannin level" this, and "Sannin level" that...I even read one story that had someone put in a rank of Tokebetsu Chunin. Yes, fannon ranks are fine...but at least get the cannon ones RIGHT! The other pertains to Harry Potter fanfics...I'm a parent of 4 kids who are-normally-well behaved. However, all it takes is one of them being a smartass and getting the other 3 riled up, and any outing, not matter how mundane or repetitive, becomes a circus. With that I will loose my mind, forget which child I'm talking to while looking right at them (even though none of them are twins thank the lord). The writer who use the excuse of Molly being evil/manipulative/whatever because she 1) uses "muggle" too much in public, 2) asks Ginny what the number for the platform is and 3) can't keep Fred and George straight...get over it! If you have her going over the top in your fic to use it as a plot device for manipulative Dumble/Molly...fine, whatever. But saying that there is NO WAY she would forget about the basics...you obviously don't have kids! Ok, off my fanfiction soapbox for now. :) |
