Author has written 9 stories for Danny Phantom, Teen Titans, RWBY, and Miraculous: Tales of Ladybug & Cat Noir. Name: BrightRaven (Formerly chris210racer) But you can call me Chris Age: 22 Birthday: Jan. 7 Grade: Junior Majoring in: English Literature and Linguistics. Thinking again about joining the Air Force as a Cryptologic Linguistic Analyst. Maybe even get a career in proofreading/copy-editing for a publisher (after I’m done with the Air Force). Bio: I'm My Top Three Favorite Bands: Muse, My Chemical Romance, and Dance Gavin Dance. All Time Favorite Movie: Andrei Tarkovsky’s Stalker Favorite shows: The Miraculous Tales of Ladybug and Chat Noir, Code Lyoko, Naruto, Megas XLR, Danny Phantom, Teen Titans, Mythbusters, Dogs 101, Animal Police Miami Chicago Detroit New York and L.A.; basically anything on animal planet, Arrow, The Flash, Bleach, Sword Art Online (The Abridged series now. I’ve long since realized that SAO is shit, and love how SAO Abridged fixes everything wrong with SAO), Assassination Classroom, RWBY, Red vs. Blue, Attack on Titan, and Hetalia. Favorite books/series: Anything from Shakespeare (Especially Hamlet, god do I love Hamlet), anything from H.P. Lovecraft, anything from Edgar Allan Poe, anything from Cornelia Funke, Daniel X, Maximum Ride (Books 1 to 5, after that I kinda didn’t like the direction Patterson took), The Dark Tower series by Steven King, Death Troopers, The Missing by Margret Haddix, and... ok you know what I read a lot. I read at least 8 grades above my level. I was put into an experimental reading program for pre-k and as it turns out, 4 out of 5 kids in the program learned how to read at a 3rd grade level by the time they were in kindergarten. Program was shut down because it cost too much, and eventually the school also had to close down, only to be reopened under a new name as a school (Pre-Kindergarten to Eighth Grade) strictly for children with disabilities and handicaps (both mental/psychological and physical) about 2 years later in 2009. Future Career: Not even sure what the fuck I wanna do. Might just join the National Guard or Air Force. Maybe I'll take the CIA test? I don't really know at the moment, my life is a mess right now. Or better yet, don’t search for me. My art is shit, and recent psychological trauma and physical injuries have caused me to lose a lot of my previous abilities to write and draw in a stabile and legible manner. You Know You're An Author If... -You talk to yourself a lot. -You talk to yourself about talking to yourself. -When you talk to yourself you often talk to yourself like you're talking to someone else. -After uttering a profound peice of wisdom like that above, you stare at the cookie in your hand with awe and say, "Wow, this stuff is great for sugar highs..." -You live off of sugar and caffine -People think you're insane. -You'll check your e-mail every day of the week one week, and then dissappear off the face of the earth the next. -You're e-mails tend to be pages long and incredibly random. -When replying to an e-mail, you'll never actually address the point of it. -No matter where you are in a room you never have to get up to find a pen/pencil and paper. -The letters on your keyboard are wearing off. -Your friends and family think that you have carpal tunnel syndrome. -People think you have A.D.D. -You think it'd be cool to have A.D.D. -You actually have A.D.D. -You constantly start talking in third person, present or past tense. -You start thinking about making lists like this and start laughing for no "apparent" reason -Your friends stopped looking at you funny for no apparent reason a loooooong time ago. -And FINALLY, the one way to tell if you're a good writer: You failed English 101. Big Note on Activity in Fanfiction: I'm way too busy with school to update regularly (aka lazy/playing Battlefield 4 everyday). Raven's Reaper has a slight delay in the 2015 December update due the fact that I've been really sick for the past three weeks, but will be up soon, hopefully before my birthday. (NOW UPDATED AS OF 1/12/16 AT 11:55 PM) (As of the last time it was Updated, Raven’s Reaper is on a temp. Hiatus. I’m not abandoning it, simply stepping away from it to re-evaluate the story and return to it one day after I get my life back together and in working order, This notice has been written on 1/12/18) Also, expect me to start writing a new RWBY fic called Let's Play!: Battlefield . This fic will be the typical Team Rwby is bored and looks for an outlet. The let's play will be centered only on the Battlefield Franchise. More details to come. (Still in development as of 9/22/17. Little announcement about this fic idea was made in late 2015) As of 9/18/17, I've been busy planning out the plot for a new fic for a different fandom (yup something that's not RWBY, Danny Phantom, or Teen Titans. Hint: it's an anime) that I expect to be posted either during the week of 9/29/17 or 10/6/17. This will definitely be my best fic yet, dattebayo! (as of 11/20/17: this fic is on hold... I actually got tired of the fandom and decided to take a break. I'll revisit the fic in the near future but at the moment, I'm focused on a fic for Miraculous Ladybug) 7/2/18: TADA, I'M BACK AND WITH MY BRAND NEW EPIC, Heart Decisions: Mon Coeur S'ouvre a ta Voix, A Miraculous: Tales of Ladybug and Chat Noir fan fiction. I'm back and better than ever! (Ch 2 is still in progress, been busy with school and my novels 1/18/19) Additional News: I've currently in the process of writing my own novels (as of May 2018), so sorry if any stories/updates seem to be going slowly or seem abandoned. One novel will be essentially an extended and revised version of a short (and intentionally silly) Romantic Comedy that I wrote for my Creative Writing class (and was also apparently a big hit with my professor and peers, despite it being the longest short story in the class). This will be my very first novel, and I honestly don't expect to have a first draft for at least another year and a half. Title for the novel will be different from the short story (Which was titled... "Rose-Coloured Glasses: The Cynic and The Idealist") and it still under consideration. Probably won't even have a title until the finished First or Second draft are revised. The other novel I’m working on is much more complex. Too complex for me to give a brief blurb about it it. But I will say that it’s an episodic sci-fi comedy horror thriller with Lovecraftian elements. I plan for it to be a trilogy of volumes, where each volume will contain about 10 to 20 episodes each. Update 4/9/19: I owe everyone an explanation for why I haven’t updated Heart Decisions: Mon Coeur S’ouvre a ta Voix. Before I do, however, I also would like to apologize for just disappearing without a word from me for nearly 10 months. 1) I was wrong in thinking that this (the Spring) semester would be a breeze. University coursework has been kicking my ass. I’m very behind on a lot of work and I’m now rushing to get it all done before next Wednesday when most of my final assignments are due. 2) Aside from school taking up a lot of free time, I also have been busy with writing my books and I was recently approached by a group of musicians who are looking to collaborate for a project. I’ve been asked to help write the songs as well as provide my vocal talents as both an unclean vocalist (screaming/shouting, gritty/raspy singing, etc.) and (secondary) clean vocalist. I have spent most of what little free time I have writing these songs. 3) My health has dipped dramatically. Part of it is due to stress, but a large portion of my issues are due to one small issue. I have a deviated septum (the bone in the nose that separates the two nostrils is crushed against the wall of the right nostril), blocking my nasal passage, creating huge blockages, causing chronic sinus infections, chronic headaches and lightheadedness, decreasing my sense of taste and smell, causing a build up of mucus and other fluids in the sinus passages in the inner ear (thereby also decreasing my hearing, tinnitus in my right ear that comes and goes, and disrupting my balance), and making it so difficult to breath that I actually passed out from lack of oxygen a few weeks ago. I’m already undergoing the process of having it fixed and should be undergoing the reconstructive surgery in June or July. (Surgery got rescheduled due to a misreading of my EKG results. Will be a few more months.) After the surgery, I hope to be able to get back to writing and updating Heart Decisions before the Fall semester starts. On the bright side, I am planning to go to a concert in Orlando to see Dance Gavin Dance, Hail the Sun, Covet, Periphery, and Don Branco. If y’all are fans of the bands and are heading there too, don’t be afraid to message me and ask you want to just hang for dinner before the show. Sorry again for the unexplained absence. Update 1/27/20: The Raven’s Reaper rewrite, Tetelestai, is slightly delayed due to my inability to avoid injury and illness. Was hoping to have it out by January 12, 2020, but I wasn't able to meet that deadline because I got sick and fucked up my back and right arm when i fell down some stairs and flipped over the balcony railing (outdoor open air stairs are dangerous) and fell two stories onto a concrete bench. Nothing broken, but everything aches. Will try to get the first rewritten chapter out by April. |
