I'm a photographer, website developer and general nerd that has had delusions of having at least 'one great novel' in me for at least the last decade, it's only recently, however, that I've felt mature enough, for want of a better word, to actually write anything that isn't completely bad.

I chose to write fanfiction mainly because I am way out of practice when it comes to creative writing, particularly fiction writing, and fanfiction seems like a good way to learn.
