"Twenty years would sweep him forward to the futuristic date of 1955." -Atonement, Ian McEwan 2. Stretch your left arm out as far as you can. What can you touch? My bedside table. 3. What is the last thing you watched on TV? While it's a film, I did watch Gangs of New York on TV (cable on-demand, woo-hoo). As far as TV is concerned, I sort of half-watched a few episodes of Luther with my dad while writing. 4. Without looking, guess what time it is: 11:47 5. Now look at the clock. What is the actual time? 11:39 Not too bad. 6. With the exception of the computer, what can you hear? My cats fighting. 7. When did you last step outside? What were you doing? This afternoon. I was watering my garden. 8. Before you started this survey, what did you look at? I searched the depths of the internet for more Mergana fanfic. I'm getting desperate. 9. What are you wearing? A Vera Wang sleeveless dress I bought second-hand. 10. Did you dream last night? Of course I did. Everyone dreams every night, after all. Do I remember it? No. 11. When did you last laugh? Earlier today, when one of my cats tried to fit into 12. What is on the walls of the room you are in? Too much. The walls of my room are covered in stuff. Lets see... -1 limited edition framed film cel montage from The Dark Knight Rises -7 Demotivational posters -1 poster detailing all of Murphy's laws -3 film posters (The Dark Knight, Prometheus, Dark Shadows). Those are just the ones hung, mind you. I have 30 or so more rolled up in the corner of my room. -1 picture of me with all the other girls in my dorm -A layered mass of artwork from my early teenage years -Last but not least, 36 magazine clippings (mostly Entertainment Weekly) including 8 dedicated to Tim Burton and 3 dedicated to The Killers. 13. Seen anything weird lately? My mother with an actual legit tan. 14. What is the last film you saw? As mentioned above, The Gangs of New York. The last film I saw in theaters was Pacific Rim, which was surprisingly good. 15. If you became a multi-millionaire overnight, what would you buy? A small, well-built house with a stone facade and a large garden. I would go on a shopping spree and buy a brand-new wardrobe full of Desigual and AllSaints, with lots of bold black and white stripes (my favorite). I would also buy first-editions from Willa Cather and Edward Gorey, an original piece by Laurie Lipton, and an original Edward Gorey etching. 16. Tell me something about you that I don't know. I don't like the color black much for clothes, but I love it in flowers. Last year I planted these zinnias I got at the nursery that had pitch-black leaves and scarlet petals. I think they were the prettiest flowers I've ever seen. IF YOUR LIFE WAS A MOVIE, WHAT WOULD THE SOUNDTRACK BE? So, here's how it works: 1. Open your library (iTunes, Winamp, Media Player, iPod, etc) 2. Put it on shuffle 3. Press play 4. For every question, type the song that's playing 5. When you go to a new question, press the next button Opening Credits:"Flaws" (Bombay Bicycle Club) Waking Up: "Flesh and Bone" (The Killers) — this one's eerily on point. It's the song I used as my alarm my entire senior year of high school. First Day At School: "I Need My Girl" (The National) Falling In Love: "Necessary Evil" (Hans Zimmer, The Dark Knight Rises score) — something tells me this does not bode well for my future... Fight Song: "Breezeblocks" (Alt-J) Breaking Up: "Paradox" (Hans Zimmer, Inception score) Prom Night:"Champion" (The Chevin) Life: "The Walker" (Fitz and the Tantrums) Mental Breakdown: "Working Man" (Imagine Dragons) Driving: "The Cold, The Dark & The Silence" (Sea Wolf) Flashback: "Val Jester" (The National) Getting back together: "Ever the Same" (Rob Thomas) Wedding: "All The Rage Back Home" (Interpol) Birth of Child: Never want kids. I didn't even like kids when I was a kid. The very idea of ever having kids freaks me out, so I'm not even going to pretend to go there. Final Battle: "I Can Talk" (Two Door Cinema Club) Funeral Song: "Falling Slowly" (Glen Hansard & Marketa Irglova) Final Credits: "Death Is Only a Door" (Tom Twyker, Johnny Klimek & Reinhold Heil, Cloud Atlas score) Quotes "Men travel faster now, but I do not know if they go to better things." "One of the few good things about modern times: If you die horribly on television, you will not have died in vain. You will have entertained us." "Behind every great fortune there is a crime." "The majority of husbands remind me of an orangutan trying to play the violin." "You should not be discouraged; one does not die of a cold," the priest said to the bishop. The old man smiled. "I shall not die of a cold, my son. I shall die of having lived." Also, I don't bite (unless you're cake, in which case there might be an issue) so feel free to PM me at any time! XOXO, actressen |
