This is the best I have read so far. I can't imagine the amount of thoughts and research you might have done to write so many beautiful chapters. I have become a fan. Thank you for writing this wonderful story.

That being said I do like how despite everything certain things are inevitable and how the story went overall was nice. I just wish Morgana took more blame and flak for her actions and everyone saw why Merlin had to do what he did cause the man had to and seemed to give up his happiness and love and everything else all to protect Arthur

So I read this story ages back in like February and I must say having read it again. Merlin is well, he's basically the person everyone kicks shouts and blames and the poor guy seems to keep getting screwed over or jumped or put into shitty scenarios where he for some reason has to take the blame? I really do hate how Morgana seems to take 0 responsibility, doesnt really have a redemption arc considering the shit she did, and how people become fine with her and how literally no one defends or sticks by Merlin. Merlin basically is just a huge enabler and isnt really assertive ir Emrys like like he is when he is forced to reveal his magic and power.

I love the idea of a Redemption Fick, but you've already destroyed pretty much any chance at Redemption. at this point it's just hand waving away the problem. you need to have prior reasons for her to be redeemable. If you follow Canon up to this point she is irredeemable and deserves to be put to death and her not being put to death is just a disservice to the entire Kingdom.

Cornelius sigan built Camelot in a day. Merlin defeated sigan. Why could not Merlin do the same for the isle of the blessed? I am thrilled Merlin and Morgana are together, having a baby and Arthur has finally sensibly promoted Merlin.

Actually I think Gwaine would have been more accepting than you wrote him because he has seen more than most and as a rule hates royal s and was more a friend to Merlin in Canon than he was to Arthur.

How sad for Merlin that things are so one sided.
