Before Ash begins his journey he makes a bet with Gary that he get a team of 7 pokemon of the same type faster than Gary can beat the 8 Kanto gyms and the Kanto league itself. Gary ups the wager to include that not only must all memebers of Ash's team share the same type but they must also include electric, fire, grass, flying and water types and no 2 members can share the exact same type combo only one type shared between all 7 members. Gary believes this will insure his victory but is underestimating Ash.

reasons for the wager can include: trying to impress the same girl, winner gets some money of the loser or loser has to give up being a pokemon trainer.

1: Yugi gets a harem.

The gods have witness Yugi's growth as a duelist but are shocked that his friends put up to mostly Atem, who has crossed over to the afterlife, doing most of the duels and no matter how hard Yugi tries he just can't seem to get them to see him as a powerful duelist in his own right. So the gods contact Yugi and give him a chance to redo his adventures but it will be under contract so that certain events that originally happened still happen that way. The gods mistakingly give a contract that has clause that says Yugi now has to have a harem.

The coontract can also say Yugi may redo his adventures with a stronger deck but the catch is this also that other duelist who appear may alos have stronger decks as well.
