"So, Meran, how are our forces right now? Both Zeon and Federation."

"Well, Captain Noa," started Meran, "There haven't been any fights about past allegiances."

"Implying that some fights still went on," muttered Captain Bright Noa. "Do you have any idea on what caused them."

"If they occurred yesterday afternoon, it involved a girl. Circumstances around the situation are odd, but not important, and it does not appear to hamper cooperation between us and Zeon."

"Well I suppose that's a good thing."

Bright contemplated his thoughts. He and Meran were at one of the conference rooms that the men found during their survey of the colony, currently dubbed Home One. Now they were waiting for the other captains and commanders to arrive.

Already present was Suberora Zinnerman, captain of the Garencieres.

It has been three weeks since they have arrived in this dimension. The revelation of their change in scenery shocked many of the personnel present. There was also the issue of remaining tension between Federation and Zeon troops.

The automated door slid open with a grey-haired woman entering the room. She was wearing a Zeon uniform with a customized emblem on one of its shoulders. It was the insignia of a wolf with the words Midnight Fenrir placed underneath.

"Good morning, Captain Fran," greeted Bright to the Zeon officer.

"As to you, Captain Noa," replied Captain Sophie Fran.

"I take it that none of my men, or the Federation's have been giving you trouble?"

"Thankfully none, Captain," Fran said as she slumped down on a chair. "Unfortunately, the same can't be said for the Zeon forces here."

"Do explain?"

"DIE FEDERATION SCUM!" A yell was heard from outside the door. "AND YOU! TRAITORS TO ZE-"

"Someone bring this Full Frontal loyalist to the brig!" Sounds of scuffling ensued. "Now!"

"Captain Fran?" inquired Bright Noa.

"Right now, it's been my people trying to control the situation. You feds haven't been talking to us, but none of us really mind. Rather, there's been a couple of idiots trying to blow up the whole station."

Meran activated his comms. "Security, what's the situation on your end."

"Under control, commander. A couple of Zekes tried to start something, with one guy trying to blow up a fuel tank. Thankfully, some Zekes on our side manage to spot what they're doing. No casualties on our end, but most of the perpetrators are wounded with a few dead."

The door once again opened, revealing another individual, a bearded man wearing a Londo Bell Uniform. "Jesus, what the hell happened?"

"Nothing that couldn't be contained, Captain Matsunaga," responded Fran. "Never figured out why you didn't join up with Neo Zeon."

"It all started when Gihren got Degwin Zabi killed," said Matsunaga. "And don't get me started on Operation Stardust."

The rest of the captains, with the exception of Captain Michael Smith, Captain Otto Mitas, and Captain Michael Smith, then entered the room. Also present was Mineva Zabi.

"Aright, ladies and gentlemen," started Bright. "Our situation is this: As of February 11, the Earth Alliance has declared war against the PLANTs colonies. For now, I'd say we remain neutral to the conflict. Although I have a feeling that we might get caught up sooner or later."

"I say we look for a neutral entity that might be willing to give us supplies," commented Charles Blake. "We have plenty in the way of food and spare parts, especially with the stuff found around the colony. However, they are still ultimately finite."

"I concur," spoke Albert O'Brien. "Though it pains me to say it, we are not going back home anytime soon."

"Captain, long range sensors are picking up something. Appears to be a large contingent of ships."

"Mhm?" responded Captain Otto Mitas. "Have our EWACS get a look at them."

"On it, sir. William 1 repositioning. Launching William 2."

Well this can't be good, thought the captain. At the moment, his vessel, the battleship Nahel Argama was placed on patrol duty as well as three Clop-class cruisers.

Meanwhile, two EWAC Jegans positioned themselves to observe the unknown fleet. One of the Jegans, callsign William 1, positioned his mobile suit and aimed the mech's arm mounted sensor.

Thank God that they don't have Minovsky particles, though the pilot of William 1. Without interference from Minovsky particles, accurate long-range scanning became easier to conduct. He then looked at the data his sensors picked up.

"Nahel Argama, this is William 1. We have confirmed presence of military warships. They appear to be Earth Alliance of make," commed William 1 to the Argama.

"Understood William 1. Can you identify their destination?"

"Will do," responded the recon pilot as he checked the trajectories of the Earth Alliance fleet and maps of nearby space. Meanwhile, William 2 continued observing the fleet. "It appears that they are heading in the direction of one of the PLANTS colonies. Junius 7 to be precise."

"Sorry to interrupt," barged in a Londo Bell officer. "We have received a transmission from the Nahel Argama that an Earth Alliance strike force is approaching one of the PLANTS colonies. Their target appears to be Junius 7."

Bright Noa raised an eyebrow at that as he retrieved the report from the officer. "Commander Meran?"

"Let me see," stated the XO of the Ra Cailum as he checked the papers he had on him. "According to the ZAFT pilots we captured, and the information gathered from PLANT networks, Junius 7 is an agricultural colony."

"Anything of military value?"

"Aside from the relatively small defense garrison, nothing."

"Well that's concerning," spoke Matsunaga as he and the other officers were given copies of the report.

O'Brien took a sip of his coffee and then said, "People, I believe our experiences with the Titans and-"

"And Zeon gassing colonies, as well as Operation Stardust," interrupted Kou Uraki.

"Okay, that too," conceited the Zeon captain. "Point is, they'll likely try to blow up Junius 7."

"Are their forces able to actually do so?" asked Sophie Fran.

"Possibly, but it will take a while," responded Bright. "It is possible that they may have something powerful enough to destroy it in one go."

"Nuclear weapons, perhaps?"

"Most likely."

"Do we intervene?" began Blake. "If this was a conventional battle, I say we sit this one out. However, the nature of the target would mean their intentions are probably less than military minded. I say we dispatch a force to observe at first. Then they'll intervene if the Earth Alliance is doing what we think they'll do."

"I agree," responded O'Brian. He then turned to Bright. "Who do we have deployed already?"

"The Nahel Argama is the ship closest to the enemy fleet," said Bright. "We should be able to scramble the Anavel Gato and the Exalted to meet up with the Argama."

"I believe that we should warn ZAFT about this," said Fran.

"I agree. Send a warning to the two ZAFT pilots we previously captured. They are at Junius 7 at the moment and should be able to warn the colony of the enemy fleet. Meanwhile I want any ships available to intercept the Earth Alliance fleet and observe for now. If the Alliance's aim is to destroy the colony, then give our forces the go ahead and engage them.

The captain of the Agamemnon-class carrier Roosevelt smirked as his fleet approached the PLANT colony known as Junius 7. Unknown to ZAFT, his warship contained several nuclear warheads, and his mission was to annihilate the space colony and the thousands of coordinators that live in it.

The captain relished at the thought of their deaths. After all, it is for a pure and blue wor-

"Captain!" one of officers interrupted his train of thought. "We are detecting several ZAFT mobile suits and at least two Laurasia-class warships. They're hailing us about our presence, sir."

"Damnation," exclaimed the Captain. "How the hell did they detect us this early!" And with some inside help, there was no way they could have been alerted.

"Sir, they are threatening to open fire on us."

"Have all mobile armors launch!" the captain ordered. "Have all ships open fire and prepare the nuclear weapons for delivery."

"Sir, EWAC units have reported that ZAFT is currently engaging the Earth Alliance fleet."

"Not good," muttered Otto Mitas. Most of our backup hasn't arrived yet. "All hands prepare for battle stations! Launch all mobile suits, but hold off any engagements for now!"

With that order given, various mobile suits began launching from the Nahel Argama.

"Incoming transmission from the Exalted," another officer spoke. "They'll rendezvous with us soon, and they have already launched mobile suits."

"Give Captain Winchester my thanks," spoke Captain Mitas. This is going to get ugly.

Beam and cannon fire engulfed the space around Junius 7. A squadron of ZAFT GINN mobile suits spread themselves to surround their Earth Alliance opponents. However, the number of hostile fighters made it difficult for the ZAFT force to contain.

One of the GINNs narrowly dodged a railgun shot launched from a Moebius mobile armor. The pilot of the GINN then quickly turned his machine's arm and returned fire with the mech's 76mm machine gun. The mobile armor soon engulfed in a ball of flame.

The ZAFT forces had quality on their side. While their warships were more or less equal to their Earth Alliance counterparts, their mobile suits outclassed anything the Earth military has to offer.

Unfortunately, with the amount of Earth Alliance forces present, quantity has quality of its own.

More mobile armors targeted the GINN, sending missiles and railgun fire onto the mobile suit. The GINN flew rapidly and rabidly to evade the enemy shots. One incoming shell did connect with the mech's leg, and a flurry of missiles slammed into the hapless GINN.

More gunfire was sprayed at the mobile armors, destroying one of them. The rest of the machines broke formation to avoid four approaching GINNs.

"Damn, they got Ben," exclaimed one of the GINN pilots. "When will reinforcements arrive?"

"We got a Nazca-class coming in to support us, but other than that, everyone else is too far," another pilot responded. We'll have to hold them here Jack."

"Against that many?" questioned the pilot Jack as he had his GINN fire more rounds at enemy units.

"It's the only thing we can do now."

Jack grimaced as his mobile suit gunned down another mobile armor. It became a strange pattern to him at this point. Dodge. Shoot. Dodge. Shoot. He evaded another railgun round as he removed the magazine on his weapon and replaced it with another one.

To his right, he could see a fellow GINN dodge a missile salvo. A missile did manage to clip him on the back. Despite the damage it received, the machine returned fire.

"Shinji, you alright?" Jack asked.

"Yeah," replied his comrade. "I think I have to bugger out though. Got system warnings all over my machine."

"Get out of here! I'll cover you."

As Jack continued fighting, he noticed an Agamemnon-class carrier coming into view. He immediately began taking pot shots at the warship.

"Come on. Come on." The Agamemnon-class received some damaged, and a launching Mobius unit was destroyed by Jack's gunfire, but the vessel was otherwise intact.

A railgun round then suddenly slammed onto the GINN.

"Shit!" exclaimed Jack. He reloaded his weapon and noted the state of his total ammunition. Great, last magazine.

Out of the corner of his eye, he saw three mobile armors launching from the enemy carrier, each carrying a large missile.

Wait, are thoseā€¦? thought a now horrified Jack. He quickly aimed his machine gun at one of the mobile armors when he noticed cannon fire heading his way. The ZAFT pilot quickly dodge and noticed his assailant was a Moebius Zero, a mobile armor with four remote controlled detachable gun turrets in addition to its main railgun, and is usually piloted by aces.

"You bastard!" shouted Jack as he opened fire on the Mobius Zero. The mobile suit, however, was struck by another cannon round. Jack continued firing is weapon until he ran out of ammunition.

"To all ZAFT forces!" Jack radioed to his allies. "At least three mobile armors are carrying some sort of heavy ordinance, possibly nuclear missiles!" The coordinator pilot then unsheathed his machine's sword and charged at the Moebius Zero.

"Nuclear weapons?!" a voice on the radio stated.

"Those natural bastards!"

"We have to shoot them down."

At this moment, additional mobile armors came in to reinforce the nuclear equipped units.

Jack cursed out loud as he dodged another volley of cannon fire and closed in on the Mobius Zero. With a single swing, the mobile armor was cut into two and soon the machine combusted. However, he took additional hits from one of the gun pods of the mobile armor.

Despite his victory, Jack was mortified at his situation. Deprived of his ranged weapon and his thrusters damaged, he cannot destroy the nuclear equipped Moebius units. The escorts meanwhile, were stalling the GINN mobile suits to allow the nuclear units to go through. Two Nelson-class warships were also pressing in on the attack, suppressing any mobile suit that tried to stop the nuclear weapons.

Then out of nowhere, a pink beam connected with one of the nuclear armed mobile armors, causing it to explode. Two other beams then struck down the other nuclear equipped units.

"ZAFT forces," Jack's radio came to life. "We are coming in to assist."

A very large beam then impacted one of the Nelson-class warships, causing it to erupt into a huge ball of flames.

Jack then noticed mobile suits coming, none of which he recognized. Some had a light green color covering a blocky frame, a shield, and some sort of rifle or rocket launchers. Others had a more rounded looking design, a darker color scheme, and some sort of two-handed rifle.

What surprised Jack was that many of these mobile suits fired beams.

One of these unknown mobile suits approached him. "You alright?" its pilot asked on the radio.

"Uhh, besides my mobile suit, I'm fine," replied Jack.

"Good, return to your base. We'll handle this."

"What's going on?!"

"We don't know sir. Err, we are detecting unidentified mobile suits, and they appear to be opening fire on our forces."

The captain of the Roosevelt was equally perplexed and shocked. Who possessed such technology to instantly destroy one of his ships? And why attack him? "Have our forces consider these interlopers as hostile!" he roared.

"Sir, communication and targeting sensors are malfunctioning right now. Possible enemy jamming."

"Damn it all! I want them gone!"

In that moment, a mobile suit came into the view of the bridge of the Roosevelt. It held a vague resemble to the GINN, and it was aiming its weapon at the command center of the warship.

"Oh son of a- "

John Rommel pulled the trigger on his controls, causing his Geara Zulu to fire a burst of its beam machine gun to the bridge of the enemy carrier. He then maneuvered to dodge the incoming explosion and rushed to the rear of the ship. Once there, he fired a shot from his rifle's grenade launcher, as well as a two sturm faust rockets equipped on his suit at the engine of the vessel. Another mobile suit, a GM III, then fired additional shots from its hyper-bazooka as John destroyed the engines. The Roosevelt was then be swallowed by a chain of explosions.

It's like the One Year War all over again, thought Rommel. He never had imagined that he will again encounter an opponent without mobile suits. He also reckoned that the dispersion of Minovsky particles is also causing hell with their targeting systems.

Already, the joint Earth Federation and Zeon forces were recreating the Battle of Loum. John saw a Stark Jegan unleashing its missile payload against one of the enemy battleships. A ReZEL then came in and opened fire with its beam rifle against several mobile armors.

At present, the force that arrived to support the ZAFT defenders are the Nahel Argama, the Ra Cailum-class battleship Exalted, the Rewloola-class battleship Anavel Gato, three Clop-class cruisers, and the mobile suits carried by the various warships. These mobile suits were a mix of Jegans, ReZELs, GM IIIs, Geara Dogas, and Geara Zulus.

John had his Zulu dodge a rail gun shot and returned fire. Already, he could see that the Earth Alliance forces began to retreat as friendy mobile suits destroyed another battleship.

His radio then became filled with the cheers of ZAFT personnel.

"Hey, uh, you there," a ZAFT mobile suit approached. "Who are you guys? Special forces?"

John sighed. "It's a long story."

"Captain, we are receiving a transmission from Junius 7."

"Uhh," started Otto Mitas. He was not sure how to respond to the ZAFT forces he just saved, especially with them coming from a different dimension. "Contact Home One and tell them that we have repelled the Earth Alliance attack and made contact with Junius 7. Tell them that we are requesting a diplomatic team to be sent over here."

"And what will be our reply to Junius 7, captain?" asked the Argama's first mate Liam Borrinea.

"Tell them that we are waiting for some representatives to handle diplomatic talks, and that we request that our involvement will be, for now, kept secret from the rest of the PLANTs."

AN: Let's see if I can salvage this mess. Also, might make adjustments to the earlier chapters. Also trying to get into the Gihren's greed games, but not sure how without actually getting the physically copies of them.
