Often we tell ourselves we would have done things differently. But can one really expect reality to change for them when they themselves often will not? It is difficult to change the past, when one already has a preconceived expectation of it. Perhaps it is for the better that Darth Vader has traveled to the past without his memories. Or perhaps it is worse. Only time can tell.

Still reeling from the revelations at Bespin – and not exactly reassured by Obi-wan's rationalizations and Yoda's last words and subsequent disappearing act – Luke had entered the coordinates for his first jump away from Dagobah more or less blindly. He had promptly come this close to splattering his X-wing all over the SSD Executor's colossal armored underbelly.

Despite our vast experience with death, and coming near it, and seeing other succumb to it, we don't really have any idea what, exactly, happens afterward. We will all find out one day, and Anakin's day to learn of it has come.

While on the run from Darth Vader, Luke's ship was crashed on inhospitable, if beautiful, Felucia. Because Vader followed him to the planet's surface, Luke was forced to run from his ship, and seek shelter elsewhere, and as he slept, the galaxy as he knew it rewrote itself around him.

Luke Skywalker has been called to a planet he's never heard of to meet with his father. This time round, he's determined not to freeze to death, but his goal gets a little harder to achieve when it turns out his father has left instructions to follow him across a frozen wasteland. But now that he's come this far, he's not ready to give up.
