This is just a oneshot story about Obi-Wan reminiscing about Anakin when he was nine...please read and review!

Calanua Natalita Donya

Calanua Natalita Donya Nai…

Little Anakin Skywalker hopped about in joyous laughter as he sang a nursery rhyme in Huttese with two other younglings. The three nine-year-olds created a chorus of little feet pattering and cheerful giggles. They danced in a circle, skipping around each other and then looping their arms together.

Obi-Wan Kenobi giggle as he watched his Padawan play. He deserved the break; the young one had been working all day. Besides, he hadn't played in weeks.

Burning lava was all he could see as he circled Anakin, preparing for the dance of battle…

One of the younglings broke the circle and began to skip around the room, holding her arms straight out. Anakin and the other youngling followed.

Nopali Chuna Diyna Danai…

The leading youngling began to circle Obi-Wan, and the other two joined him, skipping along.

Anakin broke the circle and grabbed Obi-Wan's hands, bouncing and leading him into the dance.

The Jedi Knight tried to resist, but the radiance of Anakin's little face was too tempting.

"No lectures today, Master!" he shouted, laughing.

A roar of anger and hatred was heard over the lava, and unbeatable dark energy bore down on Obi-Wan's wrists, spreading his arms out and beginning to dislocate them.

"I am so sick of your lectures!"

Ashika nokataba silno naba…

Obi-Wan smiled as he skipped about with the younglings and laughter was heard from the other Masters who were watching. Slightly embarrassed, Obi-Wan's cheeks flushed. Anakin noticed, and led the other younglings to grab their Master's hands and bring them out into the middle.

"Thank you, Padawan," Obi-Wan whispered with a laugh.

"Hey, that's what I'm here for!" Anakin replied; his smile couldn't be any wider.

They continued to dance and sing, and when Anakin saw Master Windu and Master Yoda walking by outside the room, he ran out and dragged them in, causing a roar of laughter from everyone.

"Come on!" he shouted. "We all have to dance!"

"Anakin, Palpatine is evil!"

"From my point of view the Jedi are evil!"

"Well then you are lost!"

Nokutaba, nokutaba, nala anya…

The dance was ending, everyone was settling down. They had been at it for at least an hour…

Tears poured out of his eyes and streaked down his face. Anakin, or at least what was left of him, screamed out in pain as he burst into flame. Obi-Wan turned away.

"Good-bye, old friend…"

Calanua Natalita Donya Nai…

All right, since someone requested it, I'll write the translation down here:

Calanua Natalita Donya Nai, Come and play today,

Nopali Chuna Diyna Danai, For tomorrow we must work,

Ashika nokataba silno naba, So come and play and let's sing a song,

Nokutaba, nokutaba, nala anya, Work, work, tomorrow will be long,

Calanua Natalita Donya Nai... Come and play today...

...yeah...please excuse the lack of continuous words for their english counterparts...it's a song that slave children would sing when they actually didn't have to work for a day; it was very rare on occasion, so they made a song for it to sing while they played around...

Um, yeah, I'm going to shut up now before I butcher this anymore.
