But when a large contingent of some of the greatest minds in the Federation visits the Enterprise, she and the rest of the crew find themselves reevaluating everything they thought they knew about their Captain, and trying desperately to hold on for the ride.

Faramir receives an unexpected visitor in the wilds of Ithilien, leading to an afternoon of wine, cooking and memories.

"It's the greatest ship ever built." His voice cracks, and he tells himself it's because he's been speaking for probably days now and he's thirsty and his throat is probably bleeding and Bones will kill him, goddamit, Jim – A tear leaks out of the corner of his eye. Spock had never really appreciated the depth of Jim's obsession with the Kobayashi Maru until his fever riddled captain set about beating the unbeatable all over again, consequences be damned.
