rlsa chapter 40 . 2/29 I had such a good time reading your story. It was completely enjoyable. Thanks ever so much for sharing it! |
rlsa chapter 3 . 2/21 This chapter is so sad. I so enjoyed reading it. I feel sad for the boy, but was glad that he was in your story. |
rlsa chapter 2 . 2/21 I’m enjoying rereading your story! I love Merry and Eowyn’s friendship! |
Sigrid Frost chapter 40 . 8/14/2019 PS I loved the side story about Boromir and Theodred. Will you write their story some day? |
Sigrid Frost chapter 40 . 8/14/2019 Thank you so much for this beautiful love storyloved it all the way through. Middle earth really came alive in your writing. There was so many great details for instance the perfumes, the cultural differences between Gondor and Rohan, the various customs and so on. Well done ! |
Annafan chapter 12 . 5/14/2019 It is always such a treat to revisit this - one of the best pieces of fanfiction I have ever read, and so well characterised and beautifully written. And so lovely to see so many different aspects of Middle Earth explored, reaching beyond what Tolkien himself gave us. I especially love the way you deal with Theodred and Boromir, and Faramir's initial struggle with, and eventual acceptance of what they had meant to each other. |
CowboyCrusader chapter 12 . 5/8/2019 Disgusting witch. Faggotry in Lord of the rings? you disgust me. |
blueoctober chapter 40 . 1/6/2019 Loved your story with the humor, how Eowyn and Faramir grew to understand each other and their cultures, and all the misunderstandings which thankfully were eventually cleared up. I think the last chapter is one of my favorites. Love how Eowyn and Faramir finally came to understand each other and it seems like they will most likely keep some and blend some of their cultural traditions and ideals. Can just imagine the scandal they will cause because of that and the fun they will have :) Thank you so much for sharing this lovely story of yours. I was sad to see it end especially without Eomer and Faramir meeting... Keep up the great work! |
LimeJuiceTub chapter 40 . 12/31/2018 It was very entertaining to enjoy the ride and explore the many cultural differences between Gondor and Rohan. You really brought it to life. It was particularly amusing when Eowyn realised the difference in meaning of a kiss to the brow! |
Altariel chapter 40 . 7/14/2018 Richly and deeply imagined, not just the world and the settings, but the psychological states of the protagonists. Thank you for an excellent read. |
sai19 chapter 40 . 7/6/2018 Really enjoyed this story - I thought both Eowyn and Faramir were very well fleshed-out, and it was exciting to read about a couple I had read very little about before. I also loved the 'slow burn' of it all. However, perhaps because of this slow burn, twice throughout the story I was really disappointed (and frustrated). First, when the scene between Eowyn and Faramir holding hands and watching Sauron fall was completely skipped over and only briefly mentioned in the narrative as almost an after-thought. I had looked forward to this scene and to have it so neglected seemed strange. Then again, the narration jumps over the much anticipated and, in a way, climatical scene in ch 39 when the two FINALLY reconcile and kiss for the first time (and he proposes, and she accepts!). I found this very disappointing, as up to this point I had read 39 chapters waiting for this moment that the narration only briefly described, and only after it had happened. The final chapter made up for this loss somewhat, but still I could not help but be confused by the decision to leave out such significant moments in their relationship out of the narrative. But other than this, a truly enjoyable piece of work, so thank you for taking the time to write it! I hope this review doesn't sound too negative, because I truly enjoyed your work. I look forward to reading more stories written by you :) |
Katzilla chapter 1 . 4/13/2018 Hello, it's me again, your online stalker! ;-) I finally got around to reading the first chapters of this epic and I think so far (I've only yet begun), this is the one I love best (no small feat given the high quality you're turning out)! You are filling a great void left by the books about the aftermath of the Pelennor Battle, and I love the exhausted vibe of the first chapters. Everyone is dead in character, and I especially enjoyed the interaction between a still very despondent and frustrated Éowyn and her brother, who knew exactly what to do to trick his headstrong sister into eating, while he has his own demons to battle and knows that - in all likelyhood - he is seeing her for the last time. The bittersweet atmosphere of this takes my breath away and I look forward to reading the other chapters. Keep the good work coming! |
SusanneO chapter 40 . 12/15/2017 I love this story so much! I wish it could go on and on. |
AmandaBaker852 chapter 40 . 12/6/2017 Thanks for a wonderful story. I always thought their romance was rushed in the book and so I was glad to see it more developed in this story. |
Katia0203 chapter 40 . 10/4/2017 What a wonderful story! I am also one who doesn't believe in "love at first sight". This slow progression wasn't at all dragging or boring but rather realistic and a refreshing take on things. Thank you for writing such a marvelous story! Also you have a remarkable grasp of the English language as it seems it is not your primary language. You write much better than the native English speaker in my opinion! I am excited to read some of your other stories. Namárië for now! |
