Altariel chapter 1 . 8/14/2018 Wonderful story. |
Sarahml chapter 1 . 8/3/2017 I can never get enough of Faramir/Boromir pieces... such a loving and chuckle-inducing brotherly banters! It was sucha sweet piece! It warms my heart to read well written pieces that give moments of happiness and domestic joy for either of the brothers of house of Hurin. They went through much and they deserve such lovely moments in AU :) |
butski chapter 1 . 7/3/2016 Wow, this is great! Sweet and very well written, the interaction between Boromir and Faramir is perfect. And with the recipe at the end. I have to try it some day... Thanks for sharing. I enjoyed it a lot. Take care. |
Blue Cichlid chapter 1 . 12/19/2015 I absolutely loved this. The meal sounded wonderful, and the brotherly interactions were perfect. It was so funny, and such an undercurrent of sadness. Wonderful one-shot. |
sirensbane chapter 1 . 11/14/2015 This is a sweet brotherly moment. I'm glad Boromir was able to come for his little brother's birthday. The bantering was very cute, and thank you for adding the recipe at the end. |
PSW chapter 1 . 10/1/2015 This was a perfect little slice-of-life story. Not only were your scent descriptions so vivid I could almost smell them myself, but you also managed to compare and contrast the brothers in a way that showed their obvious differences but still utterly embraced a very realistic love and friendship. And, the stew looks delightful, perhaps I'll try it. :-) Thanks for writing! |
marmota-b chapter 1 . 2/22/2015 I love Boromir's wild abandon here, and the way Faramir just rolls with it, laughing. They must have drunk quite a lot of wine by the time they were finished! It definitely sounds like a nice birthday, all in all. |
BakerStreetIsLastRefugeOfHope chapter 1 . 7/3/2014 Great story. |
Be3 chapter 1 . 6/22/2014 Marvellous. So fresh and sweet. They just _are_, aren't they? Boromir and Faramir. I love such kind of writing - it is as if the characters say to the author: Let us be. We aren't too bad at it. Thank you. |
anon1 chapter 1 . 3/13/2014 I read this with a smile. You characterizations were spot on. The hint of meloncholy running thourgh was also a nice touch. Like you it is hard to fathom a stew without onions and I love garlic, not a lamb lover though - might try it with veal or chicken. |
Tirnel chapter 1 . 2/26/2014 sounds good. liked the story too |
Iris chapter 1 . 2/20/2014 I liked that ... witty, and a good characterization of the brothers, I thought. |
Freyalyn chapter 1 . 2/15/2014 It's hard to realise that there are actually stew and soup recipes that don't require lots of chopped onions right from the beginning. Most of my general recipes start with an onion. I shall have a go at this recipe - it's similar to meals I chuck together all the time, but more generous with the cinnamon than I would be. I tend not to have ground cinnamon in anyway - I'd probably just drop a whole cinnamon stick in with the liquid and remove it when enough flavour had transferred. Thank you for sharing a Boromir/Faramir moment in happier times. I enjoyed sharing it with them and you. |
Wordspin chapter 1 . 2/12/2014 Simply beautiful. It's not often one gets to read a recipe fic that's written so well and doesn't create an effect of dullness. The imagery was quite vivid, and the interaction between Faramir and Boromir was just perfect - the deep love they have for one another truly showed. In all, a very affecting story. And an interesting recipe - I've never thought stew and yogurt could work, but I'll definitely give this one a try. Onions included, of course. You can't make stew without onions! EC |
fantasychica37 chapter 1 . 2/1/2014 I love seeing these two together! |
