   Dino-Rogue chapter 1 . 2/25 Oh, great balls of fiery stars! My heart just breaks for Jim! Like every single time his relationship (or lack thereof) with his mother is brought to the forefront in all its painful, devastating light. That whole 'orphaned the day I was born' just crushed me. In fact, I found myself endlessly thanking all that is good and beautiful and loving for the most logical, constant, steadfast and loyal presence of Spock who, ironically enough, was the key to helping Jim unleash and face all of his grief and all the other bottled up emotions he had. Trust Spock to be the one to help Kirk, of all people, confront his feelings, huh? Talking family and all that. It seems his bedside manner and particular brand of comfort don't need that much work, after all. And that ending! I absolutely adore that ending. Thank you so, so much for writing this brilliant piece of fic! Please, keep up the awesome work! |

I cannot tell you how grateful I am that you strictly made this a friendship fanfic between Spock and Kirk, and not a slash one. I can't stand the fact that most of the Spock and Kirk fanfics out there are slash, because I don't see them that way. I see them as brothers/family, and thats' it. Thank you for writing this absolutely amazing fanfic, and I really hope that you will write more Spock and Kirk friendship fanfics in the recent future! :-) |
