I've read quite a few of these now and was quite impressed by many of them. Not one was less than pretty good.

I do wish you would do a certain edit, though.

You often start right out in a fic saying, "He..." Well, who? You don't tell us. I do get it that ~the~ "he" to you is Kirk; it's just hard to keep that at the very front of my mind. It always jolts me and takes a sec and an effort to remember that "he" in your narrative is always Kirk (to the best of my recollection).

Please consider substituting "Kirk" or "James" for the first "He" as a mercy to your readers.

Thanks!

Sorry, I forgot this just now. Small quibble~~~

Matter and antimatter neither attract nor repel one another except at the subatomic level when the particles in question are charged, e.g., electron/positron pairs, in which case they do attract. Neutral-particle pairs, e.g., neutron/antineutron, do not. When the latter do meet, they mutually annihilate like any other matter-antimatter pair, with a considerable release of energy.

Great!

You understand both quite well, and not many authors did. (Haven't read much lately; I got disgusted Real Soon after reading many early fics.) The slashers are unspeakable, of course. But that aside, the nuances, not to mention the blatantly obvious scenes on the TV screen, of the Spock-McCoy friendship seemed to have escaped the notice of all too many people.

Excellent! Clever and (at least for Spock) totally in character.

(Movie 'canon' notwithstanding, I personally don't see Kirk as a bibliophile, but excellent all the same.)

Congratulations: all too many people forget that one can lust after many, many things besides sex. Books (yeah!), a fine horse, money or power (unfortunately), a certain food, a great garden...let me count the ways. Glad you're not one of the forgetters.

Thank you for writing ST! I greedily read every word with great squee and appreciation for your writing. So wonderfully crafted. (How do you do this!? It's amazing!)
Owyheewinds chapter 47 . 9/6/2019
Awwww... yes!
Owyheewinds chapter 45 . 9/6/2019
I believe Scotty as Chief Engineer before Kirk is canon. I may have seen it in the tie in novels. In any case, it seems logical from Scotty's intimate knowledge of the engines and ship as evinced throughout the Kirk OS. I believe Kirk had Pike's retiring CMO before McCoy. I think through novels, again. Great drabble!
Owyheewinds chapter 43 . 9/6/2019
Very well done. Thank you!
MuskratHurl chapter 25 . 5/4/2019
Funny-until you mentioned it, it never even occurred to me that anyone might think that Spock meant "forget about the girl." I'm with you-he would have just removed the painful bits.

Going through my Favorites and re-rereading a bunch of your Trek stories-they are my "comfort food" of fanfict!
TheFlyingPancake chapter 33 . 3/21/2019
Such a simple gesture, but ridiculously clever and almost unfathomably sweet- exactly like this lovely ficlet (drabble?). Captain Sunshine, indeed :)
TheFlyingPancake chapter 49 . 3/16/2019
I have read this one-shot four times in almost as many months and the last two sentences make me smile every single time. "Soothing hum of sleeping human brain patterns" and that gosh darn holo-camera XD Perfection. This was the perfect way to cap off a very stressful, hard to watch episode. The comment about "not keeping score" was so darn sweet. Definitely reminded me of ST:II and III, where they "kept score" in yet another way. Thank you as always, and keep up the wonderful work!

This whole chapter.
I love it.

Okay so the whole "body temperature being lower" thing is something I can totally understand. I'm someone who has a lower body temperature, on average, than most people. As a result, I get cold easily, and I thrive in the sun. Which kind of sucks in movie theaters but oh well.
