UPDATE: To whom it may concern, I've finally come to a decision regarding my stories. After updating one more chapter of Tattered, I will be spending the rest of the year not worrying about updating ANYTHING. And no, I'm not doing this to be extra cruel to my lovely readers; on the contrary, I'm doing this in order to focus my time and effort on completing Tattered and a few other one-shots. Starting in the middle of December, I will begin the weekly updates of my completed works. By doing this, I hope to put an end to my lengthy delays of updates as well as finally finishing my fanfictions.

When the last chapter of Tattered goes up, that will mark my retirement from the fanfiction community. It's been fun, educational, and inspiring. A giant thank-you goes out to all those who have read my stories. The positive feedback I've received are priceless and have touched me more deeply than you can imagine. Until then, I hope that you all continue to enjoy my stories.

Spoiled (?) - Having been inspired by a number of Spoiled-Kitten's work on MangaBullet, I've decided to create a string of unrelated one-shots that will be housed under this single title. Each title will reflect her work of art which the chapter was inspired by.

SPOILER: if you are curious as to what the hell was going on in We Were Lovers.

When Reno was still a newbie Turk, he befriended a bunch of the higher ups, especially a top class Turk named Kyran and his partner Lee. i'll update a chapter with a bit of their personalities, and that will be the end of that. Now Kyran had a boyfriend who worked in a part of the labs that was more classified than Hojo's, and his name was Wesley, or Wes for short. Because Wes was working on a breed of people called ADEPTS that would be more powerful and easier to control than the SOLDIER, Hojo became jealous and made an attempt to remove him. Kyran and Lee went out to help Wes and both were taken captive as well. Lee died during the early experimentation, but Wes and Kyran fought to survive and escape. Reno and Rude went on a mission to free Kyran (of course no one knew that Hojo was the culprit behind all of this), but the battle was to deadly.

Reno made it to Kyran's cell, but he lost his nerve when he saw what a mess Kyran had become. To Reno, there was no chance of his friend's survival, and he was too scared to try. Regrettably, Reno left both Wes and Kyran in the lab as the Turks withdrew. Not long after, the laboratory went up in flames, leaving no survivors. Ever since then, Reno could not bring himself to move on. He hated himself for that moment of weakness, for leaving a great friend and mentor. After many years, Rude was able to help Reno move on and live life in the present. Years later, after the events of AC, the events that i've written about in my chapters. More and more evidence piles up pointing to Reno, and when the other Turks start doubting Reno, he begins to doubt himself as well. He begins to see reminders of the fellow Turk he had left behind all those years ago, and that adds to his trauma. Just at the moment when Reno tries to kill himself to end it all, the true murderer appears. He reveals himself to be Kyran who had survived and had been seeking revenge on Reno. He tells Reno that both he and Wes had been transported to another lab right before the explosion and that for the next few years they endured even more horrifying experiments.

When Sephiroth started going berserk, the attention was taken off of them, and they were able to escape. Unfortunately, Wes died the day after they escaped and Kyran realized that his lover had only survived as long as he did on will power. Wes had done everything that he could to ensure that Kyran would escape and survive. Having lost everything, Kyran blamed it all on Reno who could have saved them both from all of this. He built up his strength and perfected his plan for revenge. Finally, he had his revenge. Seeing Reno's pain and suffering, Kyran couldn't help but see himself. He cursed Reno with all of his being, and then gave him a street address. Kyran promised that Reno would receive the rest of his punishment in hell, and then disappeared, all the while wailing for his lost loved one. Reno went to the address and found Rude alive and taken cared of. Rude had been put into a comatose state by Kyran, and the cuts were not lethal. On top of that, Rude was able to explain that Kyran could not die like normal people because of the experimentation. His body was frozen in time, and he could do nothing to enter into the LIFESTREAM with his lover.

This agony drove him to torture Reno, but since he was good by nature, he couldn't go through with it all. In the end, with Rude being alive, all the charges against Reno were dropped and both he and Rude were able to live together again. Although they lived happily, Reno could never forget the horror of Kyran, and could never recover from his guilt.
