I tend to prefer beta-ing stories, as I tend to get attacked by too many plot bunnies to focus on just one, but I'm working on getting several of my stories up. I am a hard-core otaku (if you don't know what that is, you're not one), but my favorites include Weiss Kreuz, DN Angel, Bleach, Naruto, Rurouni Kenshin and Ouran High School Host Club, at least for the moment. I've read most of the well-known fantasy and sci-fi books out there, and quite a few of the lesser known. I'm not too fond of most live-action shows, and I would prefer to see shows like American Idol turn into a battle royale, but I adore Firefly and Stargate.

I will indulge myself in one minor rant on my worst pet peeve - bad spelling. I absolutely loathe stories where the author has not taken the time to spellcheck. Setting aside the fact that ff explicitly says all stories must go through a spellcheck, to post stories without one seems to not only belittle those who attempt to read the work, but also your own talent. It's as though you're saying, I'm going to write this, but there's no point in actually making sure anyone else can actually read it, because a) I don't give a d- about those who try to muddle through; b) the story is so great, people won't care that they have to decypher the d-d thing; or, c) I think my story is trash, and I really don't know why I'm even bothering with the effort to put it up. End of Rant.

That said, I am more than willing to beta stories, or just trying to ask pointed questions to those cursed by writer's block.

An interesting little fact, for those who may not know. Yaoi is actually an acronym that stands for Yama nashi, ochi nashi, imi nashi - No climax, no point, no meaning.
