Author has written 5 stories for Harry Potter, Buffy: The Vampire Slayer, Jessica Jones, Justice League, and Naruto. Hello everybody! In case you weren't aware of it for whatever reason, then let me just say it here. Thank you for taking the time to read and I sincerely hope you've enjoyed it so far. It has come to my attention that some people actually check out my profile page, mostly to see if I'm still alive I assume. Some people have also expressed concerns that I've abandoned stories just because I haven't updated some of them in a few month- HOLY SHIT! Coming up on a year since I've touched Half Blood Emperor. Wow... Any way, I'm reluctant to actually say that anything is abandoned because I'd hate to confuse people if I eventually continued it. On a related note, I can't seem to stop myself from having ideas for new stories, not on the level of writers like NeonZangetsu, jCOOLn, or sakurademonalchemist who in some cases write literally hundreds of stories. I like to think the 20-30 ideas I have are much more reasonable. I know I'm slow at updating, I have trouble focusing when I start reading another story and can't seem to put it down until I finish it. All I can do is try to put my nose to the grindstone and finally get back to writing. I have a new update for anyone who takes the time to check my profile and has read this far. I recently got a job and it has seriously been eating into my time... All of it. When I got hired, it was only supposed to be as a sub, just part time really, but the money is really good. If someone calls in sick or goes on vacation, then they call me and ask if I can come in. I was under the mistaken impression that I would only work at most 4-6 days a month. But that wasn't how it worked, oh no my friends. As soon as I got the green light to work, one of the full time employees called in sick for the past 3 weeks. It's taken me about this long to get used to actually working again and not being dead to the world in my precious little down time. Feeling good now though, so I've responded to my PM's and can hopefully squeeze in some writing when I can. New Update 6/4/2019: Well now I feel bad. I've been so caught up in making my part time job full time that I've neglected writing. And, I'm ashamed to admit that I haven't even read any private messages until today, still going through them now and responding. I'm sorry for the long wait, but now that I feel like I have some control in my life I'm ready to come back. For those of you who are curious, I did get offered a permanent place after a surprising amount of politics, drama, and nepotism that I had no control over. I won't go into the details, but I'm happy and settling in nicely. Now that I don't have that looming over my head, I'm really excited to start creating again. I'm going to have to start from scratch, either a few chapters of a new story, or a possible rewrite of Half Blood Emperor that I've been writing copious notes for. I'm doing this because I know I'm out of practice, and need to get back into the swing of things. Also, I've heard about the person plagiarizing one of my stories. In a weird way, I'm kind of flattered they think my stuff is good enough to steal. But all of you have done a fantastic job of making everyone aware of what he or she has done. The thing is, if someone stole just the ideas, events, or themes and wrote their own version in their own words, I wouldn't mind. That's just fanfiction of fanfiction at that point. But deliberately copy and pasting it word for word? I don't see the point. Everyone here proved what I already knew, that there was no way they could possibly pass it off as their own. I'm not sure what they were trying to accomplish, but thank you all for your support. It means the world to me. Thank you to everyone who took the time to read this, enjoys my work, and still cares about it after all this time. |
