![]() Author has written 10 stories for BioShock, Toaru Majutsu no Index/とある魔術の禁書目録, and Love Live! School idol project. I've been using this account for quite awhile now, and seeing as how I've been using it for actually writing for the last year or so, I figured it was probably time to actually put some information here. Writing is something that I enjoy doing, even though the actual process of doing it is painful most of the time. It can be really difficult to get to the point where the words just flow onto the page. When that happens it's wonderful, but most of the time I find myself fighting for every word. Still, I love doing it, and getting to hear what other people think of my writing is a huge boost. When writing, I try my very best to come up with believable scenarios (in the context of the universe of course) while allowing the characters enough freedom to evolve and change. That's certainly easier said than done, but I think I'm getting the hang of it. Currently, I'm rather obsessed with the Raildex universe, mostly because I'm a huge fan of Misaka Mikoto and her story lines. Something about her character inspires me, and I have a ton of different plots I want to try out. I think a big part of what interests me about her is that she has a lot going on as a character, but is underutilized as far as the Index series goes. She did get her own spinoff though, so I can't complain too much about that. Still, there are a lot of possibilities with her, and I want to try and explore some of them. I try to conform to canon when I can, but there are times it simply isn't feasible to do so. For the purposes of any of my Raildex fics, I pretty much disregard anything that happened in the light novels. Too much stuff there to go through when all I really care about is having some fun with the characters. That said, I do obsess over every little change in the Railgun anime and manga, so it's really just a matter of how much I'm interested in the source material. I don't want be trapped by canon, but I do think it's important to try to keep the characters as close to their original selves as possible. There's a reason we're reading fanfiction, after all, and it's because we fell in love with the setting and the characters. I'm trying to focus a little more on getting through my stories, which is a challenge, but one I enjoy working through. Currently, Big Sister's Responsibility is my main focus, and is mostly planned out. I'll be working on other stuff in the mean time, but I don't intend to start any more big projects until this one is finished. That in itself is good motivation though. So many ideas, so little time. My favorite fandoms to read from: To aru Kagaku no Railgun/Majitsu no Index (I love the setting of Academy City, and the characters are fun and entertaining. Currently my favorite) Naruto (The setting is excellent and full of possibilities, even if the characters leave a bit to be desired. Some of them are very good, while others are terrible) Harry Potter (One of the best worlds to play in, especially since there are so many things that fanfiction can do for the series that Rowling failed to do anything with) Avatar: The Last Airbender (There's a rich world here that can support almost any kind of story, and the characters are versatile enough that they can fit almost any role) These are the places I keep coming back to, though I certainly have a ton of stories I like from other fandoms. I've spent a lot of time reading stories from these universes though, and I keep finding new stuff to read. Story progress! Big Sisters Responsibility: Complete! Screwed Up (10/?). Current Status: Chapter 10 (or 19) in progress Daughter of Waves (4/?). Current Status: probably dead |
