Author has written 6 stories for Elder Scroll series. I've written fanfiction for years . . . from Buffy to Gilmore Girls to Twilight, The 100, and now Elder Scrolls. I have original works as well, but I find fanfiction to be a great writing exercise. It can be a challenge to take someone else's characters and story and make them your own while still trying to stay true to the origin. Currently, I'm publishing a series based on the world in the Bethesda game, Skyrim. It will consist of six stories, each following a different Altmer sibling as they make their way in a new land and develop lives for themselves. Their stories loosely follow the storyline of the game and each is interwoven into various game quests depending on location and character. I've broken each story up into parts as I've been writing. Those parts are based upon months of the year. I'll follow one sibling through a month and then move onto the others over the course of that same month. I discovered if I try to write too far ahead for one of them, it becomes easy to forget and have discrepancies when the stories cross, which they will inevitably do. It isn't necessary to read them in the order I post them, as they will all be free-standing stories independent of the others, but there will be times the stories crossover, especially as time progresses. I apologize to me readers and followers who were enjoying this story because it fell to the wayside. I'm revising and editing the previous work and starting from scratch. I will get these stories finished. Skyrim Book I: Aerenwen I'm starting with the story of Aerenwen, the eldest of my Altmer siblings - a warrior. As a bit of a background, she was a mercenary in her home of Auridon in the Summerset Isles. She's a warrior and a trained blacksmith, excelling in one-handed hand-to-hand combat. She has a strong moral code, a great sense of honor, and a huge heart. She's had little interest in romantic relationships in her past, but that will change after she arrives in Skyrim and meets a certain warrior woman. Aerenwen has auburn hair, amber-colored eyes, and the golden-tinged skin of the Altmer race. She has a thin yet muscular build from years of fighting and working the forge. Skyrim Book II: Mari Mari is the second of the Altmer siblings I will be writing about, though she is actually the youngest in the family. She is a mage and was attending college in Altmeris before they fled. She has knowledge and skills in all areas of magicka but excels in destruction magics. She has a lot of energy and a naturally positive outlook and personality. She's kind but a bit of a heartbreaker, as while she very much enjoys interactions and intimacy with the fairer sex, she has no interest in maintaining long-term relationships. Mari is extremely independent. She has white-blonde hair, amber-colored eyes, and the golden-tinged skin of the Altmer race. She's petite and thin, the shortest of her siblings; her appearance makes her look vulnerable and weak, but in truth, she's extremely powerful and more than capable of taking care of herself. Skyrim Book III: Nesta Nesta is the third of the Altmer siblings. She and her twin brother, Steffen, are third in the birth order of the family. She has a knack for getting into trouble and a talent for archery and sneaking up on people. She is lively and witty and is probably the most outgoing of all the siblings. With her jovial nature, she makes friends easily. Not really one to settle down in the past, she's had dalliances with both men and women. Nesta has blonde hair, amber-colored eyes, and the golden-tinged skin of the Altmer race. She is tall and thin, with a lean, muscular build. Her smile is warm and disarming, and she can charm just about anyone. Skyrim Book IV: Elain Elain is the fourth of the Altmer siblings, though actually the second eldest. She has a darker side than the rest of her sisters and prefers to blend into the shadows. She has a dry whit. Elain's black hair is unusual for an Altmer, but the rest of her appearance is almost identical to Aerenwen's. They're often mistaken as twins. She is loyal and trustworthy for those she cares about and is definitely not someone you want to cross. Skyrim Book V: Glenys Glenys is the second youngest in the family. She is a scholar, and while she finds adventure thrilling, she lacks the skills in combat to allow her to undertake those adventures herself. In the past, she has read of them rather than participating in them, but perhaps Skyrim will change all that. She has brown hair and is probably the most plain of the sisters. She has a photographic memory and after years of studying and research, is a font of knowledge on many ancient cultures and odd topics. Skyrim Book VI: Steffen Steffen is Nesta's twin, the middle siblings, third in the birth order. They have the same golden blonde hair and, aside from her being a woman and him being a man, look remarkably alike. Steffen has a beautiful singing voice and a talent with instruments. This has not served him well in the past, as his race does not see the bardic tradition as anything more than a hobby. He's not a fighter nor is he a mage or a scholar. But, perhaps amongst the great bards of Skyrim, he will finally find his place. This series will obviously be a long endeavor so, please, hang in there. Happy reading!!! |
