A word about me:

I'm a forty something professional pet stylist (Yep I cut dog hair). I live in Texas with three dogs, six horses and numerous familial units. I've been around the Tolkien fandom since 2005 and have been writing since 2006. I do not read self inserts, Mary Sues or Girl Falls Into Middle-earth stories. I do not beta read at this time. I do not give permission to use my stories or translate them.

Yes! Please! Reviews are the only reward a fanfic author receives for the time they spend writing for your enjoyment. I don't need a critical essay on why you like it. A simple "I'm reading and enjoying the story!" will suffice! Critical.essays also.welcome. :)

PLEASE NOTE that I cannot respond to ANONYMOUS reviews, so if you ask me a question in an unsigned review, I have no way to respond to it. Also note, I do not appreciate being lectured about canon in anonymous reviews. If you want to discuss canon, sign in and we'll chat about it. You can explain your take on it, I can explain mine, and we can agree to disagree. Or come on over to my forum and we can discuss it there, but if you lecture me about canon in an anonymous review, I will laugh at you and then delete it.

A word about The Hobbit films:

My version of Mirkwood has no Tauriel, hedgehogs or rabbit sledges. Or dragon scarred Elvenkings. And my Legolas is NOT a sulky teenager.

A word about canon:

I am not a canon purist, although I do prefer stories that stay true to canon, however, there are times when I stray from the path a bit. I call it creative license. I do not think the essay, Laws and Customs of the Eldar, applies to the wood-elves, but was meant to be the customs of the Noldor. Elves separated by such time and distance would not have the same culture or customs, in my opinion, although the biology would of course apply.

THE UNDYING FRIENDSHIP SERIES - Stories of friendship, humor, mystery, angst, adventure, and romance. All stories in this series are in the same story arc, bringing together the key players from the Silmarillion to The Hobbit to The Lord Of The Rings, with a few original characters thrown in for fun. From the First Age to beyond the Fourth, from Tirion to Rivendell, Mirkwood to Gondor, these stories explore the various characters in Tolkien's legendarium, the friendships and how they are all eventually connected.

THE SPIDER CHRONICLES - Currently consisting of A Mirkwood Spider Landed On My Front Porch and When Fandoms Collide. What happens when fictional characters move in with me, beginning with a giant spider who fell through a random portal and ended up on my front porch, telling me stories of Middle-earth, to the Avengers joining the chaos. Complete insanity ensues. This is pure crack fic, so please do not expect canon compliance, characters in character or anything remotely resembling Tolkien's world.

THE GREENWOOD PRINCE SERIES - The story of Legolas and Cellinn from their romance to their growing family as well as the many rather ridiculous situations that arise in the Greenwood. It was just a simple outing…

A sunny summer day in a large, peaceful meadow bordering a lake. A small child’s laughter echoes as we hear the splashing of water)

Glorfindel’s voice only as the camera pans over waving flowers and shimmering water: “We are simply going to picnic in a meadow, perhaps swim in the pond, watch bugs, do little boy things.”

Elrond: “I trust you to keep him safe, my friend.”

(screen breaks to the courtyard in Imladris and Elrond kneeling in front of a three year old Estel.)

Elrond: “Estel, it is very important that you do exactly as Glorfindel tells you. You must obey him in all things. Do you understand?”

Estel: “Do what G’orfin’el tell me...or I get twubble.”

(The scene shifts to Glorfindel and Estel walking towards the stable with Elrond watching with a troubled expression. Words flash on black screen as the music begins to take on a more ominous tone:

Should not a sense of foreboding on such a peaceful day have warned him of what was to come?

(camera shifts back to the meadow and we hear a rustling of leaves. The music grows more dark and foreboding. The grasses wave in the breeze as we hear a guttural growl, pounding hooves and a voice calling out….)

Glorfindel: “Estel! Do not move!”

(Another growl. A child’s scream echoes through the meadow. Words flash on black screen as music turns exciting)

An unseen danger!

(Camera zooms in on pounding grey legs and hooves speckled with blood as a horse races through the forest. Words flash on black screen as the music builds

A peaceful day turns to disaster

(Music slows to suspenseful strings as we see Elrond pacing a room as a woman enters looking concerned. The sound of hoofs can be heard outside.)

(Scene shifts to the door of the Last Homely House being thrown open and then all goes black as the music stops. Words flash on black screen)

Some wounds go much deeper than skin and bone.

(Mournful music as screen flashes to a close up of troubled blue eyes partially obscured by strands of golden hair then flash to a horse's coat, speckled with blood)

And some lessons are learned through much pain and sorrow.

(Camera zooms in closer on blue eyes filled with tears. In the background we hear voices raised in anger, followed by a crash of something breaking)

Will a family come together in such crisis?

(Scene changes to Gilraen, tears on her face as she spins and points off camera)

Gilraen: “It’s all your fault!”

(Screen changes to Elrond standing in the healing ward, his jaw clenched. He turns to look off camera)

Elrond: “There is nothing you can do. Now leave!"

(Flash back to close up of tear-filled blue eyes. In the background we hear a young child screaming and crying.)

Or will a household be ripped apart by tragedy?

(Music stops abruptly as screen goes black. All we hear is a rumbling growl, then a snarl… Glorfindel’s voice echoes in despair:

“ESTEL!!!!”
