Thank you for also illustrating what happens after the ring is destroyed. Gimili and Legolas are probably the best view points to take when explaining the aftermath, seeing as one of them’s immortal and the other’s a slow aging dwarf. Their relationship is one of the least explained things in Tolkiens book that I’m interested in, and I can’t get enough of them. That bit with the Rohan tree was

So sad. Gimli is a character much of the fandom underappreciates, but I love the friendship between him and Legolas. This story here is poignant, and almost brings me to tears.
