![]() Author has written 9 stories for Lord of the Rings. Happy Summer 2016, everyone! Oh look, Jasta's not dead. *wry smile* It has been a rough couple of years, and I am soon going to be back to writing. Thanks for your patience. Love, Jasta Happy Late Winter, everyone! February 2013: Yes, I'm still alive. Apologies from the bottom of my heart that I haven't posted anything in so long. I love you all dearly and will keep all my promises so long as I am alive... *hugs* And can I just say... my King on an... Elk? An Elk. Whut? Really???? lol... no. And not enough Thranduil in that film, but there will be more. Oh, and because some have asked--and it's a fair question: Leaf and Branch is told from the perspective of those Not From Greenwood (tm) for the most part, and that's why there is snark about the Stupendous and Marvelous Thranduil in some places therein. I'm considering editing it though. So, that's why that. :) And now the usual stuff: To answer the questions everyone's asking: 1) No, I have NOT abandoned "Dark Leaf"; and yes, I am aware it's been forever and more since there was an update. I apologize profoundly for that. 2) I will bend my will toward getting DL updated ASAP. I do not want to jinx it and say what metric defines "ASAP"; every time I have tried that in the past, something has happened to prevent it. 3) Here are some things in the works: a) DL 17 and following (probably five or six more chapters, then into the Land of Sequels we go...) 4) Remember when took down Dark Leaf because someone reported it, and no one would ever give me an explanation of any kind? Well... the same thing has happened at Tripod, where DL used to be archived in full. :( Again, no one will tell me what was offensive; Lord knows there are warnings everywhere all over any chapter that is darker than usual. Oh well. And yes, I know the story is not complete in other places where it is archived. I'm working now on registering my own domain and setting up my own site, where things will be available. I will post here and in my Yahoo Group when that site is live. "Yahoo Group?" I hear you cry. Yes indeed! There exists a Yahoo!Group so anyone who wishes can be apprised of updates and where to find them, and get to hang out with some of the nicest people in the world. Not to mention, hear about their updates as well... It's been a little quiet of late, but that's my fault. I'll be fixing that, too. Anyway, here's the URL: http:///group/royal_mirkwood_home/ The group is called The Royal Mirkwood Home for Wayward Elves (grin). Membership is open and the discussion is unmoderated. It's been quiet lately, but hopefully we can ramp that up a bit. Come on in, the weather's fine! However, it is in the Adult section of Yahoo because the discussion gets a little randy sometimes. ;-) |
