I earned my baccalaureate studying literature many moons ago, but have since become another cog in the corporate machine. Stories in all their forms are my preferred method of detoxification (writing & reading primarily, with the occasional TV/film binge). I'm a sucker for a good slow-burn or dark/Gothic romance, particularly of the historical variety (mostly I just love copious amounts of sexual tension. It's all about the yearning), but I'm also a massive fantasy junkie (magic, myths, monsters, curses, prophecies, kick-ass women, brooding warrior men... I love & am guilty of utilizing all the tropes! #sorrynotsorry). I am near-incapable of resisting anything in the vein of Beauty & the Beast as a motif and enemies-to-friends-to-lovers in general is my kryptonite.

I also have a terrible weakness for well-written villains & anti-heroes (including but not limited to: rakes, rogues, scoundrels, & bastards). Beastly men with secret cinnamon roll centers - those rugged, red-blooded, slightly tortured types that could probably definitely kill you, but are also closeted romantics underneath all those complex layers (especially where the chosen lady-love is concerned) - I can't say no. I am aware that these are all considered clichés. I do not care. Just let me live.

My Favorites: So if picking favorites wasn’t anxiety-inducing enough, what I “consume” media-wise is entirely dependent upon my mood, which makes my tastes really tricky to pin down. But if I absolutely had to pick, here’s the stuff I love and would most likely recommend:

A Note on My Juvenilia: For those that were unfortunate enough to have read my old work (i.e. roughly 30 stories of varying lengths & quality posted between 2005-2010), please note that the majority of that schlock (at least in their previous forms) won't ever be seeing the light of day again. That being said, I will admit that nostalgia's grip on me has grown especially tight these days and I am considering rewriting another story or two at some point in the unforeseeable future (see the poll at the top of my profile for the shortlist). But for now, these are the only exceptions to the "will never repost" rule:
